The address listed on Yelp shows East of Mesa gateway. WhenI saw this I thought they moved or opened a second location. We were excited as our house is just down the street. But when we pulled up it ended up being a major sports complex and I didn't see NYTD in the area.

Huge letdown. The pictures look so cute and you expect you are going into an adorable little deli. Looks like they have a new location and it's just a pick up spot for a small menu of sandwiches. This is not explained on their website, Google, Instagram, or yelp.

Best Deli around! meat ball Sub is DA Bomb. Bakery is a hidden Gem too!Owners are really nice! Family place! Did I mention the pesto on the meat ball sub.... Delicious!

This place is delicious! They give generous portions and the biggest cookies. I also love that they employ people with disabilities. We are hoping to get back here asap! Their bakery is also pretty amazing and has a variety of fresh baked goodies.

Really good sub. Turkey bacon cheddar tomatoe lettuce and ranch smashed between bread on hot grill press. Salad is also good without the bread or grill press.

Unbelievable. The food was on point at the highest level. The Cubano is second to none outside of Miami. The drinks are also so good. Chef W and Vanessa have developed a menu of incredible food and beverage.I'll be a regular here! The place is actually in the back of Farmhouse - it's a hidden gem that you have to find :)

Crush ..

The cookies here are not even mid, they're weak. Why do people rave about the cookies? Tollhouse recipe from the bag is better than these, and those are basic. Seriously, don't go out of your way for these cookies. My standard, for reference, is Levain bakery. Also, both of our cookies had unmixed small chunks of either baking soda or baking powder... blech!

Excellent sandwiches! We had the Reuben and Turkey/Bacon/Avocado! And the chocolate chip cookies are a must! You won’t be disappointed! Thanks! ?

Not Your Typical Deli has been serving Gilbert since 2016. Locally owned and operated by several Arizonans including the experienced and talented Chef W. Their goal is put simply, as good as their craveable menu. The Deli employs those with developmental disabilities and aims to promote a culture that both employs and embraces these individuals for who they are. The service is neatly impeccable; friendly smiles meet polished manners combined with a laid-back cordial attitude. the food is just as astounding: the tang of savory BBQ white pork on fresh warm bread, a classical pastrami sandwich with shaved meat so thick that despite it sheer size, it only takes one bite to appreciate the complexity of flavor. Not into sandwiches? Cool. The Deli proudly serves other house-made items such as the Chicago dog and the Macaroni dog (yes, you read that correctly). Their expansive menu includes various burgers all of which are delicious, made-from-scratch house salads, and LOADED FRIES. I needn't say pick-or-choose-wisely as everything on the menu is absolutely to die for. Their pastries are hand-made daily by a team of talented bakers: recipes that come from Chef W. and Chef Vanessa's own families that were passed from generations. Their ginormous chocolate chip cookie not only satisfies a sweet tooth, but that brings delight to sweet-and-savory lovers too. Everytime I have come has been a wonderful experience, and undeniably worth it.

Meh The food was okay, very limited if you have dietary restrictions. Very expensive too.

Been going here for years. The sandwiches are the stuff of dreams, regardless of which you choose. Big portions and tasty combos. Pastrami, corned beef, cubano, Italian beef...all are great!

Difficult to locate within the complex, delicious RUBEN sandwich...had to take the other half home. They need to 1) relocate; or 2) put signage out on the winding roads in the complex, and 3) advertise more, 4) decide what is their customers base? What customer base is or could be or who they want it to be. Hopefully a multi faceted bsse. The (4?) owners have some good ideas; but they need to GET REAL about running a business.

We went to NYT Deli for lunch. The service and the sandwich were perfection! We had the best pastrami on rye that my husband and I have had since our last trip to New York! Do yourself a favor and stop by when your craving for a top-notch sandwich hits!!

The food was really good here. I had the Pastrami sandwich and it was huge and well seasoned. My wife had the classic Club sandwich. Their cooked are the size of your face and very crispy. Perfect location to eat an see a movie after. A little expensive but the serving size is comparable. Get there early as they close at 4pm.
