I really, really wanted to give this place four stars but tonight I could not. Very friendly staff which is why I hesitate to put anything less than a four. Ordered takeout after a marathon day. Final grub verdict: One of the dishes was excellent and the other mediocre at best. Thai basil chicken rice was super yummy. Not oily. Full of flavor with plentiful thai basil leaves throughout. The pad Thai with chicken was disappointing. Dry'ish rubbery noodles with a tamarind heavy flavor. Too heavy. Like, way too heavy. Sadly, I can't say the $14 was well spent.

I ordered Green Curry "Thai Hot" and it had NO heat whatsoever. Pineapple Rice was also flavorless. The WORST was that I asked for "less oil" in the modification options and got the most oily dish I have had in my life! After only a few bites, I stopped because it had no flavor and the oil was separating and rising to the top and around the sides even more. Even after only a few bites, my tongue was coated in a disgusting film of oil!

They got every order correct and all of our visitors loved their authentic food. #support local.Vegetarian options: Large vegetarian selection and most meals offer no meat, vegetables or tofu as an option.

Used to come here because its close. Will not be back. Charging someone $3 to swap onions for carrots because they cant eat carrots is not ok. It literally costs you nothing to grab a pinch of onion vs a pinch of carrots.

A piece of paper with a bit of curly paste from a jar would taste better than the dishes here!Wish I never stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for Thai in Gilbert. Being extremely disappointed is an understatement!!!Ordered 2 dishes to-go.1) Panang curry, mild. It was absolutely tasteless, no spice at all, and almost as the ingredients are floating in red water, zero thickness to the sauce. No description of the ingredients on the menu, order must be based on picture, which shows it has snap pees in it. We got only green bell peppers, onions and carrots. Cheapest and smallest shrimp.2) Green curry, no spice. It was spicy and salty. A bit better thickness as the red curry and the only thing it goes for it as the ingredients were just as on the dish's picture.Wish we have eaten in the restaurant and could have complained right away.Living 30 min away and wanted to try something new, but for sure we won't be back (except for refund)!

So bad. Ordered a variety of food for delivery... crab wontons, panang curry, pineapple fried rice, drunken noodles and a few more items. Every single item lacked flavor. The sauce that comes with the crab wontons tasted... idk pungent. The panang curry which is typically my favorite Thai meal was very thin and watery.

I have lived in AZ for 8 years now, and have been searching for great Thai food. My search is finally over!!! Ta Lew was absolutely amazing. I ordered Chicken pad Thai, it was so flavorful, full of sauce, fresh and incredible. My husband had the pad see ew, and same thing! We will be back!!!! If you're wanting great real thai food, this is the place. Worth the drive from anywhere in the Valley, all their 5 star reviews are deserved!

First time visit for lunch, did not see any lunch specials. Ended up trying the Beef Basil which was delicious. It was not hot at all, a little sweet, and served with a side of rice. I enjoyed the whole thing, couldn't stop eating it. The restaurant was nice and the service was great. This place is near my doctor's office so I will plan on returning soon.
