This is one of those spots that isn't necessarily bad but also not great. It's somewhere in the middle. What makes it a spot to go is the affordable prices with a "mom & pop shop" feel.The prices are really good but they also reflect the quality. I'm not saying you can't find some gems on the menu, like the fresh cripsy gorditas are 8/10 but other items like the enchiladas are made with powder sauce while others taste like if you just started to learn how to cook Mexican food but in a bare minimum style. It could be just over budget reasons.The menu items I recommend: Gorditas (any meat), Tacos de Cabeza. I come here a lot but everything else I tried (most of the menu) is in the middle, not bad not good.Parking: The parking lot is shared with other businesses but for the most part, you'll always have a spot available. MOLD, RUDE, and WASTE OF MONEY!!! This place is absolutely terrible from the service to the food. They keep hanging up on me as I'm trying to call and speak to them in regarding my nasty soup and enchilada that they call a meal. The soup is bland with moldy corn and fatty protein and no meat. The refried beans are runny. The only thing good here is the tortillas that were probably outsourced and just warmed up.

Had the tostada, supreme burrito, and super nachos and it was low key smacking (good). As soon as I took a bite it was like the Fourth of July in my mouth (the flavors exploded).

Food is delicious! Got a caldo de res and the broth itself had a great flavor! Everything else like meat and veggies complemented each other) next time I wanna try the caldo de albondigas. (Yes I'll be back!) Also had a "Super" Burrito. It was just a regular burrito but the price is justified for the size. I got a taco de tripa and asked for tripas crispy... it was made to perfection!... didn't care for the type of onions they use but its ok. Green salsa is amazing! Right amount of heat and flavor! The food is worth the drive and the affordable food prices also help. This place is a small-ish hole in the wall place but definitely worth checking out! Oh! Before I go... their corn tortillas are hand made!!!!

I feel like this place is largely underrated! Unlike large commercial restaurants, El Sabor de la Familia has a very authentic taste and feel. The prices are incredible, and the serving sizes are quite generous. Their food looks great, smells great, and tastes amazing! The employees (all women when I visited) were friendly, attentive, and served me very quickly. They even answered all my questions without getting annoyed or trying to up sell me on an item that I didn't want. The next time I'm in Arizona, I will definitely be visiting this establishment again. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Mexican food, the way your abuelita used to make it.
