I have given them several opportunities to determine if this was just a one off; The Safeway corporation runs an ad and every single time the ad is for an item in the meat department the store on Estrella in Goodyear doesn't have it cut wrapped and available; It's in the back. I've had to track down a butcher and listen to their song and dance about having to cut and package the item. Tired of it; will switch to the store on Indian School road in Goodyear. They seem to be prepared for when a meat item is on ad.

Great local grocery store! Every Department clean, organized, & well stocked. Quality of the produce, bakery, flower shop & meat counters was excellent. Staff members very courteous, knowledgable & efficient.

Switched to this pharmacy because of good service but it has changed and today was the last insult. There were 3 people at the pharmacy I stood waiting to be helped but the one in the white coat was into her story about a customer with great personal detail. I waited patiently but she continued spewing info about this client with hardly a breath. I taped on the counter lightly, first to let them know I was waiting, second to stop the conversation that was personal about another client. The white coat slightly turned and said ya I know you're there I saw you. Then proceeded to spew more detail. Finally one of the other girls came to help me but was rude and short with me. Heaven forbid I made her work. No consultation from the white suit... really didn't have a choice nor did I want her to know my personal business. So unprofessional, rude and arrogant. Not coming back here for anything. - two stars!!

Bakery had ants in the donut case and none of the employees did anything. The bakers never use gloves and still touch the bread and pastries. Jose store manager doesn't know how to be a manager. He demands employees not asks. He has the employees doing 10 to 12 hr shifts and only getting one break throughout that time. Expects the employees to be more like robots . Overall not a good place to work or visit. At all

Starting shopping here after I was finally done with Frys (which is 1 block away). I loved it right away - clean, bright, well stocked, great prices, the meat is great, produce is stocked and fresh, and they have great carts that fit in the aisles with multiple people. They have great cashiers, especially Kathy, Kat and Linda. These ladies are friendly, know how to bag groceries and are personable. The app is a pain, but if something doesn't come off the employees at the courtesy counter, like Amber and Lee are fantastic. And if you need flowers, they have a wonderful floral department. I do not expect perfection from any business or person - because everyone is entitled to have a bad day. But this Safeway is doing it right.

You can get a good deal if you get an account and use the app, but it's an on-going problem at this store where the coupons that are saved to the account don't show up at check out. Sale prices are also not always correct at check out when it comes to regular items on sale.

Why has Safeway raised their prices up in the last year, why is Fry's have a lower price on the same items by a lot?Could it be that they just recently got bought out by Krogers. I will not shop at Safeway even tho it's much closer to my home until the prices come down. It's not just inflation, it's Corporate greed! 50 yrs Customer!

This store is terrible. They never have their advertised specials in stock. Many times the Digital Offers don't work. When you go back to get it corrected they give you your money back but not the tax. Unreal. I finally gave up on them after many "bait and switches" with their advertised deals.

This store sells out of date food. This is not the first time, I bought a pack of Johnsonville sausage. Once I got home and went to grill a couple up, when I opened the pack they smelt bad, were slimy- I check the best by date. They were out of date. I brought them immediately back. I was offered my money back. That is it ... no coupon.

Worst service EVER! I tried to use delivery service for the first time. BIG mistake! About an hour after specified delivery time, NO delivery. I checked my bank account and the charge was displayed! I called the store to ask about my order and instead of owning up to THEIR mistake, they said there was a problem with my card! I then called the bank who explained that if a card problem were to occur, the charge would NOT appear on my account! Why did NO one from Safeway contact me regarding any delay? Why did the Safeway representative lie about my card and try to twist their errors back onto me? So now it’s OVER 2 hours past delivery time, my Just 4 U points have been deducted, my bank has been charged but I have no order and Safeway won’t return my calls! Obviously MY time has NO value as far as Safeway is concerned! The whole encounter seems dishonest if not fraudulent. I do not recommend Safeway. If you are looking for convenience, GO ELSEWHERE!!

Visiting here. And the best way to assess a grocery store is first can you find everything EASILY. The answer is YES. Clear and bright signs. The lighting is super bright (not dingy) so you can clearly see down the aisles. The aisles were clear of junk. There were plenty of cashiers when we were checking out. We were in and out in no time and had everything we wanted.
