Disappointed. This place has a lot of potential but lousy execution. Food was decent at best. We were there on a Sunday for brunch, and I was a little leery when the parking lot was empty. We ended up being the only customers during the entire 90 minute meal. Appealing menu but they missed the mark with my chicken and waffles. My waffle was basic, with shredded cheddar cheese, and 4 tiny chicken wings. Basically bar food for entree price. I would not recommend ordering the dish. The wings were decent but when I requested ranch, it took forever. The server returned finally and apologized for the delay. She told me they had to run to the grocery store next door, to buy more ranch. Yikes! They also didn't have any kind of hot sauce. The restaurant was nice on the inside, and we were excited to learn about kareoke and other events, since we live nearby... but we won't be returning for that. The food and service was disappointing, and seemed over priced for what we received. This restaurant seems neglected and needs some TLC.

Maybe I went on a bad day but this place sucked, it’s never a good sign when your waitress asks you if you know anyone that’s interested in joining the cooking staff. The biscuits and gravy was decent that day and heads up most dishes are served with just one egg. ?‍♂️ Not worth going for the food as the waitresses were not that interested in serving anything besides mimosas.?

Let me start off with the people there are sweet and kind however, the food is lacking and it took us forever to get our food. We arrived there at 1 and were sat down immediately. It took about 10 minutes to get our drink and about 30-40 minutes to get our food. Well 50 minutes to get ALL the food. At first the three kids waffles (one single waffle with no sides) arrived and it was still another 15 minutes before we received the other dishes (two Philly cheesesteaks, one eggs Benedict, one waffle and chicken). The Philly cheesesteak lacked in flavor. The chicken was chewy which was a weird consistency to look past. We had also ordered an appetizer but that wasnt even delivered by the time we got our food so we just canceled it. We had to ask for knifes because there wasn’t any and we asked for napkins two different times but didn’t get any. Such simple things but definitely adds to the frustration during the experience. The cook came out and apologized for the amount of time it took for the food to come out but there was about only three other tables there. Hopefully they get another cook to help as I think this could help them with delivering the food at a better time.

My family and I booked reservations for Father's Day for 10am, the time when the restaurant was supposed to open. The restaurant opened like 15 mins late, which by itself isn't a big deal, but once we got seated, things just continued to get worse. Our orders for the drinks were taken after about 15 mins of being seated, and they weren't fully handed out until we asked if they were still on there way, almost an hour later. At that point they told us they were unable to make certain drinks, and they still had not even taken our food orders yet. We were the second ones in the door, and one of the three parties that were there. No one else seemed to receive much service for the hour either. We ended up leaving after waiting for about an hour and it really soured the start of our father's day. Seems like you're taking a gamble if you choose to eat here...

This was a terrible dining experience. We waited 2 full hours and left before we even got one of the entrees we ordered. The other food came out semi cold, poorly cooked, and missing side items. We kept being told different things about what was holding the food up - and eventually when we just wanted to know how many minutes it was “it’s soon”, then “the biscuits came out of the oven - they’re being made fresh”, “they’re still working on the biscuits.” And then finally when we insisted on knowing how many minutes, we were told 5 definitely, then 10 minutes later the waitress came back to say they’re still working on the biscuits. At that point (2 hours in), I left hungry.Management took just $10 off our bill and did not charge for the biscuits & gravy but was not apologetic and seemed to have an attitude that we were annoyed at the long wait/other issues.Another group (who also waited 1.5+ hours and got their whole bill comped) told us that the gravy was thick like it had just been sitting for a long time and the biscuits were from a tube - not made fresh. Will never return - do not recommend.

We dined here a couple of weeks ago, the food was well seasoned, great portions, good and hot!! So awesome that we asked to see the cook! His name was Richard, a very humble young man?? We hope to get him and his cooking again.

So I stopped by this establishment early on a Saturday night looking for a good meal, a stiff drink and an easy atmosphere. It did not disappoint. The Bartender was sweet as well as timely with the service. I had the catfish diner with greens and Mac and cheese- The fish was fresh, not over- breaded and was cooked perfectly....didn't even need hot sauce, lookout! The DJ began spinning around 830 and also did not disappoint...a grown and sexy vibe, thank you very much. Well done Urban Corner, felt right at home.

Love Thursday night Karaoke night. Love the atmosphere however the service is not up to standard. Waited 1 hour to get my food, waiting staff friendly but never comes back to check on your table unless they are bringing you the bill or food. Someone in our party got their bill before their food after waiting over an hour. I couldn’t even get napkins which is standard. I have been plenty times and just stop ordering food cause the kitchen staff must have to hunt and kill what is served it takes so long. Food actually taste okay. I was baffled at my chicken wings tonight. More like chicken nubs the end bones had been cut off on all but 2 pieces. I ate it cause I was hungry and fear of waiting another hour for fresh food. I love to support Black Owned businesses but we must do better in this establishment. Again Karaoke Thursdays is great and it’s a hidden gem just needs better service, more staff, more cooks and more hospitality.

All I can say is the food was cooked with passion and love. The meat was tender and all the sides were well seasoned. My family and I enjoyed the night out. The owner and staff were friendly and made us feel right at home.

We thought we would try this place since it's down the street from where we live but the atmosphere was very unwelcoming I felt a racist vibe coming from the establishment on top of that I ordered a martini and she made a margarita instead. I felt the dirty stare of the kitchen worker an elderly lady on me the entire time it was very uncomfortable and we will definitely not be back.

I visited this restaurant last weekend. I was thoroughly disappointed in the service and food. We were told to order off one side of the menu only. They didn't have pork chops, diet soda or icea tea which was on the menu. We were charged $16 for a 3 ounce catfish, cold collar greens and super dry mac n cheese. I overhead the cook stating the were out of catfish (maybe that was the reason for small portions). The waitress was not friendly and had to be called to take our orders. Peach cobbler was brown and nasty! I was charged for cheesecake and then told they didn't have any. I would not recommend this restaurant.

The first red flag is that I called on Father's Day to ask for the wait time & there was none. It was around noon & there is only 2 other people when we arrive, it's dead silent & when a place is this empty it's definitely a bad sign. The hostess told us right away that they were short on staff so that it would take longer to get our food. (There's a total of 4 people including us in there) The water taste like sink water, I ordered spinach & tomato eggs white omelet. When I received it there was no spinach or tomatoes & it was not omelet style. The potatoes were hard & tasted like they were 3 days old. I told the server I didn't not like the food & she said she would "give me a discount" I really don't know how this place is in business.

The food that was available was decent. The staff were friendly and helpful. The online ordering is an issue. They have an online system that takes orders, bills the credit card, and sends emails. The staff say the system doesn't work and they can't see it. I've tried calling with no success to get this refunded. When ordering in person, a good chunk of the menu was out of stock by 6pm.It's okay if you're close by and in person but i can't recommend it with so many other options around.
