Ordered 2 salads...the meat was hard, eggs rubbery and lettuce not so fresh. The omelet was a bit runny. B&G were just meh. Fries were hot and fresh but still soft and soggy. 2 items were left off the order and neither the Feedlot or the Stockyard number was working. Staff seemed stressed.

I'm a country boy and love biscuits and gravy. Can't find a good place until now. I had two eggs on top and the hash browns are really different but it was good. Almost as good as my middle daughters! Kinda reminds me of Kentucky, little place out of the way with outstanding food.

The food has changed so much. My husbands hash browns were mush and tasted like mashed potatoes. He substituted pancakes for extra hash browns and he barely got one serving. My home fries had no seasoning. All the portions are smaller. The service is great as usual. Unfortunately, the last three times we have come have left us underwhelmed. The change in food preparation is a big swing and a miss. I don’t think we will be back and this is one of our favorite places.

Spectacular little cafe. Great food. Nice service. And a historical place. Really cool. Going to stop here next time I pass through. It is a bit off the main roads but worth the drive

Let me start with the food! I got the Biscuit Special and it was AMAZING! I would definitely recommend this meal. It was more than enough food for one person, I even shared several bites with my daughter and still had a little bit left. My kids ordered kids meals, one got the french toast and the other got the meal with scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast. Both were very pleased with the taste and portions. My husband got the heifer burger and said it was delicious.Service was exceptional. Our server was very attentive and friendly and quickly corrected a small mix-up on an order. The atmosphere is very unique the restaurant is to the left when you enter what appears to be an old barn. There are not many tables, but it seemed to be just the right amount to have everyone seated and being waited on. The women's restroom was pretty clean and everything functional. My husband attempted to use the men's restroom and said it was not at all clean the toilets and urinal appeared backed up, so he decided to wait until we stopped somewhere else. We had driven down from Peoria to meet family for lunch and had a long drive back, but he still opted for that over using the restroom.Overall I would still recommend this restaurant, the breakfast is totally worthwhile!Kid-friendliness: Great kid friendly meal options with fair portions.

Went for breakfast and found out they have cattle auctions on Wednesdays. Showed up with a group of people and had a great breakfast. I had one of the specials and so did most of the people in our group. The food came out quickly and was very good. My eggs were not quite over easy like I had asked for, but they were still good. The wait (Lisa) was great. We had excellent service. Even when everyone had left while I was going to the restroom, she saw my motorcycle jacket and started to go outside to see who had forgotten their jacket. I just happened to show up as she grabbed my jacket. We had a good laugh. Would certainly go back and would recommend to others. Of course, if you do not like the smell of cows, you might not like this place.

We had high hopes. Cute place. Food was good though home fries were cold. Took forever to get meal. Never did get refill on coffee though we asked and the waitress walked past us several times with the pot asking everyone around us. Couldn't catch her attention for anything. Too bad!
