A mouth watering journey!! Culinary gem in Mesa, offers an inviting ambiance and delectable traditional Korean cuisine. My personal favorites are the spicy pork bulgogi and Yook Gae Jang, each dish bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. It a must-visit destination for any occasion. They do get busy at dinner time, so be prepared. Enjoy!

One of my favorite Korean restaurants in AZ. Most comparable I found to KTown in LA. The kimchi fried rice is always great. I also really enjoy the kalbi and chicken bulgolgi. Their japchae is the best I've ever had. Their beef bulgolgi is a bit hit or miss. I've had it be amazing and then last time it was dry and not flavored as well. Overall, definitely a place I end up coming back to often.

Food is always delicious. Only concern I have is every time I order a refill - I am charged for each refill. A soda is around $3+ - if I order 2 additional refills during my meal - I end up being charged $10+ for ordering one soda and two refills. Is this how Hodori conducts business with soda and soda refills? Is it accurate to charge me that much?

Delicious stir fried squid. One of my favorite at this restaurant. Kalbi and seafood pancake is pretty tasty too. Decent selection of banchan, wish their napa kimchee tasted more authentic. Their cucumber banchan is my favorite.

Amazing Korean food with excellent portions. This establishment is not a buffet, but it's large enough to share. I recommend any of the soups/stews and the seafood tastes very fresh. Nakji Bokum (octopus), beef bulgogi, and Daegu Jorim (sautéed monk fish) are excellent choices. The ambiance is basic, and the service is good.

Overall rating: 4/5 Wait: 4.5/5 Arrival time: Sunday 2:30pm Food: 4/5 Order: kimchi pancake, egg roe soon dobu, beef soon dobu, kids kalbi Service: 3.5/5 Price: 4/5 Worth it, would come back -Review- Hodiri is a cozy and authentic Korean restaurant that serves a variety of dishes, from spicy soups to grilled meats. The kimchi pancake was a highlight, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a nice tangy flavor. The soon dobu (soft tofu stew) was also satisfying, especially on a cold day. The egg roe added a nice touch of richness, and the beef was tender and flavorful. The kids kalbi (short ribs) was a bit chewy, but still enjoyable. The only downside was that the mild spice level was too bland for our taste, so we would recommend going for the regular or spicy option. The service was average, not too friendly but not rude either. The price was reasonable for the portion and quality of the food. We would definitely come back to try more dishes from their menu.

This place was busy! However we were seated quickly. We got our menus and water right away. We order the Beef soup (sul lang tang), tofu soup, and spicy pork. It took a little while to come out since they were busy. The food was really good. We are used to going to Korean restaurants and being asked if we needed more side dishes, but they didn't check up on us. Had to call the waitress over to ask for more side dishes. The food was good so I wouldn't mind coming to this restaurant again and trying other items.

Food is really fresh. I have taken many people to enjoy this gem in Mesa. Everyone has always enjoyed the food. Love that the do not cook with MSG which I am very allergic to.

Wowwww! Decided to stop by here after seeing so many other recommend it, and it did not disappoint! I went for lunch, which for a Thursday was surprisingly busy (good for the restaurant!), and I ordered the soondubu combo with "kids" kalbi. Don't be turned off by the "kids" label because the portion size was still good, but damn that kalbi was delishhh....had an awesome charcoal-grill flavor and was sooo tender!! The soondubu was also very good! Can't wait to return to try some of their other dishes!!

First time here, not first time eating Korean. Ordered the soon tofu and kalbi combo. Delicious, hit the spot, satisfied. Good amount of food, reasonably priced. Would come here again.

The food was great! Authentic! A wide variety of dishes. Reasonably priced, too. I am especially fond of the "lunch special".

This was by far the MOST disappointed and sad I've been. I don't write bad reviews but this was ridiculous. I waited a total of 1 hour and 30 minutes for my food... I wish I was joking. Our original server (young, short, speaks fluent English) She's usually there in the evenings. Never once check in with us after taking our order, 53 minutes in a different server finally approached us and said "so sorry you waited for an hour, so sorry. It will be out soon." We decided to continue waiting, nothing. No communication. 25 minutes in they told us that our order was never place in.. like what that's crazyy. We ended up asking for it to be to-go at least. They said OK. It should take five minutes. Ended up waiting 12 minutes... still nothing. Completely leaving this place with time wasted and empty stomachs. What sucks is that I wish the original server would just come up to us and take accountability and communicated. A simple, " Hey I'm so sorry for my mixup here's some water." Because we didn't even get water. Instead, we are sitting there, questioning, if they just really want us to leave since she kept looking over, but not approaching us.

Well, what a cute and family restaurant highly recommended by my niece. Family had fun, and everyone was very content with the place and food. I can definitely make this a regular stop when in AZ. Customer satisfaction Food mega delis!

We ate dinner around 6pm on a Tuesday and this place was busy. We were seated immediately and at the last table. The menu had a lot of choices and a lot sounded good. We ordered the Mushroom Soon Tofu with Beef ($13.95) (added ramen noodle for $1.50), the Sam Gyup Sal ($20.95), and the Chicken Bulgogi ($20.95). I don't see a lot of places that had Chicken Bulgogi so we ordered that. The staff were nice to us as well. The place was large and lighting was low. The food came out slowly. The Mushroom Soon Tofu with Beef was good and hot the spot on a chilly day. The Sam Gyup Sal (pork belly) was good and the Chicken Bulgogi was delicious with the char taste to it. I would recommend any of those if you can't decide on what to order. The food was good and we will be back in the future to try other food on the menu.
