horrible delivery through Uber. ordered duck. it was actually ice cold, like it came out of refrigerator and no one bothered to heat it up. who knows how long in fridge. asked for buns for duck, none. asked for green onions and fresh hot mustard. none. i have determined this restaurant has no standards for quality and just doesn't care. nervous about how sanitary my other dishes are

I can see why some reviews are low but let me tell you why (and why this should be a 5-star place). This is legit Hong Kong "Chinese" food prepared and served by real Hongkongers. I used to live in Hong Kong, and the food here is exactly the same as what I had there, I mean EXACTLY the same. The char siu made me want to cry, it was so perfect. The thing is, Hong Kong Chinese food isn't what most Americans are used to when they think of Chinese food. I think a lot of people com with the wrong expectations. That's not anyone's fault (except maybe Panda Express). If you have ever been to Hong Kong and want real Hong Kong food, you'll be more than satisfied. If you're looking for a new Chinese food place to try, the food is fantastic, just leave your expectations behind about what Chinese food is.Also, the ambiance is "interesting." Kind of feels like walking into someone's front room of their house. But who cares? It's kind of cozy and it's the food and service that count. If you say "Lay ho" when you walk in (that's how you say "hello" in Cantonese), the host will get really excited and happy, although then she might assume you speak Cantonese fluently and start saying a bunch of things to you.

Don't come here. Food was bad. Hot and sour tasted like pennies. Sweet chicken tasted old. Service was ok at first but when I complained about the food I was told to leave and never come back. Doesn't seem like they wanted to make it right at all. It stays empty for a reason

I wrote a review of this place many years ago. I didn't like it then, but it is convenient so I decided to drop in and get some takeout for lunch. I was hoping it had improved over the years. I ordered orange chicken with the pork fried rice. The portions were generous but the food is just not flavorful. Rice was dry. Chicken was coated in some kind of sauce that didn't taste like orange at all...more of a dark smoky musty flavor. Not good! Hot and sour soup too, but it was beyond hot with red pepper flakes and had no sourness to it. There are so many better places to go for good Chinese food...won't ever go back to Empire again.

I likes the actual meals but the sides we ordered were not good I feel bad because I was very excited to try a new place the lady at the counter was very nice but short with us. I do love that they have homemade duck sauce.

The food tasted like a microwave meal. Straight up minute rice with poor quality meat. Won't be going back. Pretty disappointed that I wasted money here. Cashier/server was incredibly rude even though the place was empty. Like what are you stressed about? The experience was horrible.
