Was looking for a different experience. We were passing through to CA and decided we would try a local place. The food was so so. Just FYI, the 8oz sirloin with eggs was a ground beef patty. The customer service was awful. Maybe we didn't look like the rest of the customers there, but our money is still green.Go to a bigger chain - don't support this establishment

The staff are friendly and the portions are generous. There is never a wait to be seated and the food comes out in a timely fashion. Everything is made well and the price is reasonable.

This was a nice place to try out, for lunch. We are a Handyman service that goes to different places to eat, and we enjoy finding places like these. Good food, friendly service. We enjoyed our visit, and will return again.

This is an old country kitchen with a twang and been here years in this little store front. I’m a Phoenician and love these local places with Az charm . Make your way here for breakfast ! We did and yum ! Homey so- if you are expecting a trendy spot this is not it . Buy and patron - Local ! Order pancakes , French toast and eggs and you can’t go wrong

Our usual place for breakfast, we had a great walleye dinner Thursday. My wife and I split it, and they put it on separate plates, and we both got mashed potatoes and vegetables! Great service and good conversation.

Eggs were great. Sausage was cooked to perfection. I would just avoid the biscuits and gravy and gravy is a little too flowery and not enough sausage but the pancakes are great.

We tried this place for breakfast and it was ok but the food had an either oil that was old or oil that needed to be changed taste to it, the breakfast was average but I think we might have to try again to see if it was just bad timing on the oil.

Found this gem by mistake turning into the wrong parking lot.Mikey's Family Restaurant has since become our favorite breakfast spot. The staff are mature adults, and attentive, the food is excellent, and although the decor is a little dated, it's clean and feels cozy like many restaurants used to be, and what we prefer over modern chain restaurants. We dine out for great food, and the personalized attention. Parking has never been a problem.Highly recommend

We saw the waitress when we got menus & our food. Never refilled coffee! Biscuits & gravy were cold and extremely gooey...very thick. My goodness, even my sausage was cold.VERY DISAPPOINTED.

I had breakfast at Mikey's family restaurant again today had the works scramble omelette whichever it was delicious. I had the right amount of everything in it best tasted one yet. I'll be back try it out. You'll love it.

Although the restaurant is cute, and service was amazing, the food was lackluster at best. The winner really was the blueberry pancake(s) which came in a stack of 3 large pancakes. Those were fluffy and hot with big blueberries, however, they were served with two small packages of fake butter, and they had been melted and reset. The potato's were soggy and tasted of oil with very little seasoning. My biggest heartbreak was the biscuits and gravy. The biscuit was dense and dry, and the gravy was a bacon based which tasted of that stale bacon fat flavor. I did see many things come past us, like a very stuffed omelette and a really good looking club sandwich with fries that the guest exclaimed were too hot to eat right away (in a good way). So I'm not writing this place off completely, again, staff was so sweet and the place is a place you would take your grandma too, so maybe we just didn't order well!

I loved this placed when I first moved to Mesa I love supporting small businesses but this is the last time I'm ever coming back I asked for steak and eggs and they gave me a HAMBURGER BEEF PATTY CLAIMING IT WAS STEAK AND EGGS 17$ for over cooked home fries with a patty they had the nerve to still say it was a steak when I confronted server I was very pissed it wasn't what I ordered I been here at least a good 40 times and won't ever be back!!!!! They need to change menu and specify it's not even a steak in the steak and eggs It's hamburger patty and eggs almost looked like spam if they had ran out of steak they could have just told me since the beginning always have a party of 6 or more won't ever be back for this mediocre so called steak and eggs won't be surprised if they don't make it past this year open I'm sad I have to find a new brunch spot for the weekend with the kids If I could give ZERO STARS I WOULD UNFORTUNATELY I HAVE TO LEAVE A STAR Can't forget how much hair was in each plate from the cooks or someone in the back Look at your food closely before you do order you've been warned

I'm giving 5 Stars because there's a SEVERE shortage of Old Type True diners around No matter what you order at Mickeys it will be Better than Good chicken fried steak is some of the best around the country gravy has flavor not just milk and flour the texture is spot on Not pasty like others serve sides are good as is the Service fish fry nite offers a couple of different choices and reasonably priced as is the entire menu be sure to check the specials board for daily breakfast lunch and dinner l go here several times a month even though I have to drive about 60 miles round trip Mickeys is one of special restaurants around that serve HOME Cooking that used to be all over but sadly has all but disappeared from our dining choices what has replaced this type of restaurant is Poor quality food served in a Rushed atmosphere by a Corporate owner that simply doesn't CARE if a restaurant like Mickeys was closer to me l would probably eat with them 4-5 times a week if U like Good Home Style food served by people who Do Care visit one of the few family owned/operated restaurants left
