Had a takeout order, no chipotle hummus on my black bean burger, my chicken “wrap” wasn’t even wrapped, it looked like a taco. My side salad literally had a piece of lettuce sticking out of the container. You think for $40 with TIP (which i regret now for takeout) order I could get the BARE MINIMUM of what i ordered.

This is one of my favorite places for a casual dining experience. Really cool eclectic atmosphere and friendly staff. The ambiance outside of the restaurant is really nice as well (Dana park) and it’s even situated right next to a large fountain for those that enjoy eating out in the fresh air. The food is always fresh and it’s reasonably priced. I recommend the jalapeño cilantro hummus any day of the week. Good work guys, keep it up!

Update: just went back, food is still great, no complaints there, we always enjoy the food. Service was still just terrible. We sat there with half eaten plates of food for at least 15 minutes waiting for our server to ask about to go containers. We finally just went and got our own. Waited too long for refills on water, waited too long for the check, waited too long for the check to get picked up. Maybe just try a different location cus once again, we love the food. Food was great. Service was a little lackluster. We had an over abundance of plates on our table and had to flag the server down and ask for them to be removed. It was also unexpectedly warm and humid inside, not sure if they were having hvac issues or what.
Honestly, it had been such a long time since I had gone to Pita Jungle and when I visited a few months ago, i was totally surprised. For some reason I had remembered it as a fast casual greek restaurant, but I could not have remembered it more wrong. It is a full service restaurant serving up delicious cocktails , wine, along with food to pair!, great for date night, girls night, lunch or really anything in between. I have had a variety of things and love that they have constantly rotating menu's and seasonal items. I love that they have light bites/wraps for 3 bucks if you want to have something small and various appetizer items from small hummus plates, to trios. You can add extra pita's, veggies, protein and a lot of ways to customize. My favorite item I have had up to this point, is their cilantro jalapeno hummus! With their grilled chicken and greek pita, add some veggies and honestly it hits the mark every time. It's fresh, flavorful and I feel good after devouring it!

I typically don't leave reviews for establishments I've frequented over the years, but in this economy with so many scrutinizing how to spend their dollars eating out I felt I should share my thoughts. I had lunch at this PJ location I've attended for some time and was completely let down. The kafka burger that has always been a favorite was a complete letdown. Gone were the loaded veggies and tall bun, but most notably the burger was flattened and nowhere near the sizeable serving I've come to expect. Lastly, I spied my order sitting for at least ten minutes on the order counter while the server laughed and screwed around with staff. As you'd expect, my food was served barely warm and my single glass of water was never filled. This was mid afternoon and the place was hardly occupied. I feel bad leaving this review, but please be forewarned that neither the food nor the servers are nothing quite near what they were in the past...
