Asked to have a cake made for my daughter’s 1/2 birthday. It was a decorative cake for the adults to eat as a 6 month old cannot have cake. We wanted it to be a ‘sun’ and were told that they would not make us a cake that was ‘dangerous’ for a baby. She could not crawl, would not be eating it, and was simply to be a fun part of the decorations and for the adults to eat but they wouldn’t even give me a quote. Just ridiculous.

My marvelous Right Brain (husband) searched high and low for "Just the right cake" for my birthday. After a frustrating time having the bakeries around where we are staying just being brats, can't do it with four days notice, , pick one in the case, no custom smaller cake etc., he found this delightful cakery. Perfect! Everything I asked for and ready earlier than expected. They're pricey, after all they're artists! Pay it if you want the best. Not only beautiful but a yumfest!

Our daughter and new son-in-law found Sugarlips Cakery for their wedding cake needs. They enjoyed the in shoppe cake tasting and selection of wedding cake styles. This bakery matched the photo of a cake my daughter fell in love with. The entire staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and patient with our decision making. We even added a cake layer and they quickly made an addendum to the contract. We dropped off artificial flowers after they gave recommendations for how many we needed to get the effect we wanted. They delivered and set up the cake in the window of time promised. This vendor never caused us a moment of stress or anxiety before the wedding (not an easy thing when planning a wedding). Our only regret was that we got too busy to even taste the cake. As parents of the bride, we will be back for an anniversary cake soon enough. Thank you Sugarlips Cakery owners and staff. This place is incredibly hard to work with and unreasonably priced. I paid $450 for a cake for my 4-year-olds birthday party. From the start, the customer service has been absolutely awful. Everyone on the phone is rude, and they are even ruder when you enter the store. To start, I asked about delivery and they said... "ummmm we don't do that" as if it was the dumbest question someone could ask. They follow that up with "we are not liable for any damages to the cake after it leaves if you choose to pick it up yourself" Which makes absolutely no sense. I drove 20 minutes to pick up the cake and the "um we have to charge you $50 extra for the board on the bottom of the cake" was not done. They tried to just hand it to me without saying anything. When I asked about it they said "umm ok it will be 20 mins" no apology. Nothing. I couldn't believe it. My 4-year-old was with me and they made no eye contact with him. If you need a good place for cakes, message me! I have a great person, that was unfortunately out of town for the month of November. They deliver, let you sample the cake before buying (this place acting like I was crazy for asking to sample "um you can buy a cupcake if you want to try"). One of the most disappointing experiences. So bummed!

I ordered a small cake for my daughter's wedding. The staff were so nice and accommodating. It was a rush order 6 days before the surprise courthouse wedding. The staff were all helpful and friendly. The cake was absolutely beautiful and delicious. Their bakery had many things to offer, as well as, a few places to sit and eat a treat. The bakery ambiance was perfect for that business. The cake was beautiful and delicious. I highly recommend them as a professional and talented bakery. You will not be disappointed!

They did our wedding cake and it was gorgeous and delicious! My guests loved it. We had 3 delicious flavors all equally yummy. And they accommodated our decoration requests. Professional and kind. Highly recommend!

Tried it for the 1st time and I’m honestly not impressed the cupcake was basic nothing really special about it it was just okay. I think they specialize more in pretty custom cakes rather than cupcakes. I won’t be back but wish them luck their cake displays looked beautiful
