“Driving to the top of Mount Lemmon works up an appetite. There are not many choices to eat here but this is a good place. I had the Rueben and my spouse had a burger. They were both quite tasty and definitely made the trip back down more enjoyable.”

“Great chili & bbq sandwichs. They handle the line of people well. It is a mountain top restaurant...of course there is a line. The wait is worth the time. If anyone complains, well their ski pants are in a wad. ”

“Homemade sweets, bread, goodies, and freshly squeezed OJ. Wonderful staff. I met the gal from El Paso who makes the best chocolate chip cookies - my husband wants more! And Vaughan - I can say so many things. A gem and an asset to the Lodge. I know he is a wonderful chef and also an abstract artist. I saw images of his works. The man is a wonderful soul. I think that the owner of the Lodge has hired people very carefully. Be good to the folks here, please. Their food is amazing. Gratitude, please. For those worried about prices. Keep in mind that this is not a regular destination like a city where we are spoiled with stores and delivery. Have patience. Think about how supplies are brought up and what happens when there is a storm - you cannot control that. If you don't support local, business dries up. You cannot place "big city, big box" cheap prices on a small business - quality costs. Support the dreams and the gifts that we are being given from these folks who have chosen the mountain life as labors of love. Leave Walmart where it belongs and don't expect it in Summerhaven. Support this tiny town that is built and sustained with love. We were stuck as our car broke down and had to stay the night. The sweets here were so good and I brought a bunch home. We will be back, and WE support you and your business 150%.”

“Licks Ice Cream & Coffee Had their bubble waffle with apple pie ice cream and carmel drizzle- SO GOOD! Locally made ice cream and a clean beautiful store 10/10! Highly recommend!”

“I didn't make reservations, but the hostess kindly saved a table in the bar for us when we called 15 minutes ahead. The server in the bar area was a pro. I missed his name, but kudos to a job well done. His recommendation of the salmon was spot on. I will definitely be back, with reservations this time.”

“Our party of 4 enjoyed our meals at Contigo. Service was timely, meals were staged well, drinks were quick to arrive, all was good. Only complaint was the indoor area in which we were seated was very loud making conversation difficult.”

The hostess Amber was so kind and helpful to accommodate us at the patio that is lovely BTW: it had a beautiful mountain view and heating. “We have dined at True Food Kitchen a number of times and enjoyed it each time. On our recent visit we took our young grandchildren who “approved” of the children's menu as well as the Etch-a-sketches they provide to amuse them.”

“Decent food, though they got our order wrong. Biggest issue: they don’t have seating for a party of six inside - they tried to make us wait an hour to be able to push two tables together. Meanwhile outside they have a truck with a generator running very loudly so the tables large enough to accommodate our party outside were quite uncomfortable. The food was yummy and the server despite getting the order wrong was nice and attentive.”

“It’s a big ol’ sport’s bar, but the food was surprisingly good. We had a Monterey chicken sandwich with onion rings, and a fish and chips. The sandwich was served as described, and the $2. extra for rings was worth it. Whole onion rings dunked in batter and deep fried. Ditto for the fish. Neither had that breadcrumb coating that I despise. All the food was hot and came out quickly. They also had some of the best Cole slaw I’ve ever eaten! Our server Cole was brand new, but he was terrific. He was friendly, attentive, and professional.”

“The Blue Ice staff is friendly and has been especially good while dealing with taking orders and then scooping from the back cooler due to the display case being under repair. The shop has over 20 flavors to choose from, with some non-dairy and many gluten-free options. I usually get a small cup with chocolate and honey lavender cinnamon (yes, up to 2 flavors per small). My partner really likes the waffle cone with butter pecan. The flavors always are fresh and the texture creamy. We enjoy sitting out on the patio and, sometimes we are serenaded by musicians on the patio next door. We recommend the gelato and the patio seating!”

“This place is amazing. We went to the Biosphere 2 and wanted to try something new for food.Pepper sauce Kitchen is perfect for an off the path adventure. It is literally off the path so add about 30 mins to your trip from the Biosphere but it was worth it. You get views from the state park and on the side of Mt. Lemmon. The restaurant is cool. There is outdoor and indoor tables for eating. They have corn hole, a table and chairs to sit outside and play Jenga and plenty of places for pictures and go for a walk.Although there is a limited menu the burgers are great. I got a double and it was more than I could handle. It was the biggest, juiciest burger ever. And the double fried fries were AMAZING ? They also have a weekly special unfortunately it wasn't available when we went, so try it if you can. Also, the staff was amazing. Fun to talk to and very knowledgeable about the area.Had I done research we would have went on the Zipline but def going next time.If you have time and are in the area I would definitely suggest Peppersauce Kitchen. “My wife and I enjoyed our Sunday lunch but later she became ill, likely from her pre diabetic condition. We also made a forthcoming reservation for 8 but may decide to cancel as a precaution against repeating with that ongoing issue; we'll see if a change in menu items might avoid the problem.”

Not bad, but not "I'm telling my friends about this burger"...Two others got the chicken quesadilla, and a fourth person got a chopped brisket sandwich. Everyone liked their food, no one particularly raved about it.The meal, soft drink, and 25% tip was just over $23 if I remember correctly, which to me is a pretty good value for this meal.The service we received was the best part of the experience, and sadly I cannot remember his name.
