“This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in town - and I grew up in LA so trust me I know good Chinese food The quality is amazing - i'm very picky about meat and their meat is always high quality (none of that nasty, fat, tough dark meat you sometimes get at Chinese places). The options are super unique, too - I am OBSESSED with the crispy cherry beef, i've never had anything like that before! I will say some of their flavors aren't "traditional" like their orange chicken felt quite different from other orange chicken i've had, but it's honestly such a nice change of pace to have new foods. The staff is also super kind, we've never had a bad experience. I 100% recommend it!“

“I highly recommend the food and drinks here, next time I might get it to go however. This location is pretty small, and has great service but the day I went there were a couple disappointments. First, they were out of the Vietnamese sausage (I was very excited to try this banh mi), and second there was an area when you first walk inside that was stacked with boxes. Could have been a delivery day but it's definitely just not super welcoming. All that to say my sandwich and green Thai tea Boba were PHENOMENAL!!! Love, love, loved both of these. Service was very on point, pleasant and helpful.“

“Yum yum!!! We have had Vietnamese food at quite a few restaurants but decided to try Bun Dock since it was so close to home. This is now our favorite and the only one we will go to in the future. Loved the fried tofu and the peanut sauce for dipping. The chicken on my "Bun" dish was delicious. The pork was unusual in that it was super crispy, but it was a nice and tasty surprise. The fish sauce was mild and lovely. Can't say enough positive!!!“

“What a wonderful restaurant! As soon as I walked in I was transformed back to Vietnam by the paintings on the wall of Ha Long Bay. What a great ambiance I felt like this was the place for authentic food. The service was fantastic. Things were explained to my friends that weren't familiar with the menu. I ordered a Thai Tea with boba and it was fantastic. The tea wasn't overly sweet which was greatly appreciated. We all ordered a version of the bun noodles. I had chicken and they had vegetables and tofu. It came out with the sauce seasoning on the side. We could also spice it up if needed with chili sauce, siracha or hoisin sauce. The lunch portion was a perfect size and the taste was a work deal combination of flavors that melded so well in your mouth. We didn't do dessert but I may have to leave room next time and see if they have mango sticky rice. I will definitely be coming back!“

“Great pho but pricey. 10 to 12 dollars is more than fair. But they charge 14 to 16. And this is just for soup. As a result I only go once in a while instead of 2-3 times a week. If they lowered the price they would make up the difference in volume and people would go more often.“

“Wonderfully tasty pho. The place was empty. Our server was really having a rough night. Mixed up which dish went to which person and several other things. Servings, even for the small size, are generous and filling. Nondescript atmosphere, more like a boothless diner. Go for the pho. It's worth it!“

“So glad that I stopped in! Nothing like some delicious Pho on a cold day. This place was the best pho I've had in Tucson hands down and I've had my share of pho. But this place was so much more than just the food. The servers were so friendly, so nice and made me laugh which elevated my meal to an experience. I love the murals they have all over their walls of Vietnam. So beautiful and a nice thing to look at while enjoying my meal. This is now my pho place in Tucson for sure! I'll be back.“

“This restaurant is attached to the Asian grocery store at Orange Grove and La Cholla. I sibling my takeout order and then did my grocery shopping. They have Lloyd's of Pho items, plus lots of other selections. No currys. I will go back. The atmosphere is interesting. Not posh, but a fine place to sit down with a fine Vietnamese meal.I did not try any broken rice dish, but I am curious about what that is. So I will return and try some. The spring rolls, lettuce, sprouts, and shrimp rolled on rice paper, were excellent.Parking: This is a large shopping complex with the Asian grocery and several restaurants, nail salons, and so on. So parking is abundant.“

“After almost two weeks of exotic travels in the jungles of Vietnam, I came back to the West a new man with new tastes. Already feeling like a stranger in a place that was supposed to be home, I felt very off. Perhaps it was my body returning to health after drinking Saigon Red beer instead of water every single day in the hot, humid and unforgiving Mekong Delta. Perhaps it was the lingering sense that society is lacking an essential something, a something that can transform nightmarish, capitalistic monotony into a harmonious balance of actual joy and fulfilment. Perhaps I was just hungry. It’s only been a week, but I needed to devour a Banh Mi or some Pho asap. I put on some traditional bolero music and went to the googles to find me a solid Vietnamese food stop. And lo and behold, Pho Can Tho. Described as a “Low-key, family-run eatery offering a range of noodle soups & other Vietnamese favorites.”It was about to turn into a high-key joint (or maybe middle key at least) because as soon as I walked in, I told the lady at the counter “I’m looking for Tucson’s Pho King. I just got back from Ho Chi Minh and everyone claimed to be Pho King. I feel like the competition might be a little less stiff down here.” The lady just nodded and sat me at a table for one. I could already tell this place was Pho King headquarters. I asked her for a hot coffee (**Ca Phe Sua Nong)** and was so happy when she brought me the Phin metal filter which sits atop the glass with the coffee grounds and drips into about 3 teaspoons of sweet condensed milk. While she handed me the menu I said “did you know coffee was introduced to Vietnam in 1857 by a French Catholic priest in the form of a single *Coffea arabica* tree and with the lack of fresh milk and proper storage, sweetened condensed milk became a popular substitute as both sweetener and creamer?” She gave me a weird look and walked away. Yeah, I’m not a fan of the French either, toots. My eyes sprawled over the familiar textures and fresh beauty of delicacies of recent past. The Bahn Mi Ga chicken sandwhich with liver pate spread, egg mayo, cilantro and pickled carrots, the Com Tam broken rice with grilled sausage, shrimp, pork chop, shrimp patty, shredded pork skin and egg meatloaf, the Pho with its thinly sliced beef in a sumptuous broth surrounded by noodles, fresh springs, thai basil, cilantro, jalapeno and limes. I let out a loud whisper moan: “phoooooooooooo” as I came out of a food porn daze and noticed the lady was standing in front of me waiting for my order.I think a single tear poured down my cheek and I looked up at her with ecstatic and ethereal eyes and asked her to give me a minute. She raised her eyebrow and walked away once again. I wiped my face and got up to go out front for a cigarette after taking a sip of my sweet, sweet coffee. There was a new Vietnam war brewing. And it was one for my heart. The last time I felt these feelings was a long, long time ago. Like January 25th after almost crashing into a cow on a motorcycle. And i’m so grateful to feel them again. I ordered all the things and I think I may have found the Pho King of the desert. 5 Stars.“
