I've been going there just under 50 years. Partied our butts off there, and the wet T-Shirt contest were the best. Even in the early 80's when it burnt down and they put up a circus tent it still packed in the people while being rebuilt.
This place is great fun, I would take off a star for uncomfortable outside bar seats and overall maintenance. The parking lot looks like a personal junkyard where someone is fixing their boat. They had a live band during the day which was awesome. They have seats just above the water to sit and dip your feet in or just get in the water and cool off. That was another great feature. Overall it needs some TLC.

I was stationed MCB Twentynine Palms, ca. 1975-1978 and made it my place to go once twice a month. I always brought a new body with me . No one ever had a complaint... good food, good music, best entertainment I found along that section of the river... I'm very happy to see the joint still rocks. I have to reunite a few dozen leathernecks for a visit. Damn good memories at the SUNDANCE.
