Food is a bit disappointing, rib hardly has any meat in it, beef steak was not tender...

Looking for simple but tasty Mexican food that is affordable - we stumbled about Asadero and saw great reviews We started with the quest fundido and then shared a chicken torta. (Chips and salsa were complimentary) both dishes were very tasty and the service was great My only complaint was the store bought tortilla chips

Back here after being gone still wonderful, has not changed a bit aside from the new playfield leveling-price structure in Joes America.

The food is very good, does not matter what you order and not expensive. People working there are nice and have amazing service. God

Mediocre at best. The food is better than most places but it's not great. You do get a decent portion but it lacks flavor. One of the salsas was straight up Costco chunky salsa. The horchata tasted like the powder stuff. It looks like an authentic, hole in the wall, mom and pop restaurant but it was disappointing. Skip, not worth the social media hype.

Fun place. Menu is authentic mexican and unique. Super service. If you are expecting "new" this is not the place for you. I would give them a 4.5. Definitely in character.Would go back.

The tacos de asada were great also the cabeza but tortilla on those wasn't al vapor. Good taco spot will def come back to try other menu options.

Obviously, this is not a fine dining restaurant and they could update the napkin situation for sanitary reasons. Also, park on the side street for fewer headaches. However, it is a perfect family restaurant, and provides the best value in Phoenix. Unlike many places in the area, this Asadero remains consistent in quality, prices, and its employees. Homemade tortilla. Free chips, no questions asked. Both salsas have heat and flavor, not overly spicy. Fresh veggies to complement most plates, and you get a grilled jalapeno with burritos. THE best charro. You can't get more family than the 2 sisters who work the front. Highly recommend you give it a try or at least order takeout. 6 stars!

Best Mexican food I have ever eaten. And I have been to many family run restaurants in several Mexican cities. The first clue was their small parking area was full. On entering, all of the ten or so tables were full and I noticed the customers were all smiling and talking over mostly empty plates. I ordered a plate of barbacoa which was accompanied by charro beans (yum!!) and chips with two home made salsas. Both were delicious and spicy. The decor was small Mexican village rustic but clean. If i could give 6 stars, i would.

This is definitely a hole the wall! The parking lot has only 10 spaces and inside, there is only 10 tables! Haha but if you have the chance to wait then the statement "it's worth the wait!" couldn't be any more true! I have been to a lot of Mexican places and being Mexican myself, I feel very confident telling you that the tacos/ meat is AMAZING! I was so full and could not stop eating because it was so delicious ! Also do you guys know how hard to make a guacamole that is tasteful and not plain? Well they did it! The guacamole was so good and tasteful! The ladies working were also very friendly and attentive! We did have a big group and felt like they checked on us multiple times! Highly recommend this hole in the wall!
