Absolutely amazing authentic Italian food. The atmosphere makes you feel like you just stepped into an old mobster movie. The food is a little pricey but it is well worth it! Great portions and the food is incredible! Absolutely will be dining here again! Our waiter was always near by so we didnt have to ask for anything he was right on it the whole time!

It was my first time eating here upon the recommendation of a friend. They had described it as an old school feel and that is definitely true. While I was expecting maybe a cool rat pack vibe, it felt a little more 80's but still fun. They make fresh pasta every day and I had their osso bucco which was incredibly tender. I am eating low carb and they will substitute anything you wish and so I got fresh veggies with it. I will say that the place is on the expensive side but worth it. Just be prepared.

My wife and I dined at Avanti's last week for the first time. It definitely did not disappoint. The ambiance, food and service by Sergio were wonderful. We had the escargot, mussels and chicken parm. We were pleasantly surprised that the pasta was al dente, as we requested. We will be going back as often as possible

My partner and I tried Avanti for the first time yesterday and were completely blown away by the atmosphere, service, and amazing Italian food. To start, walking into this restaurant makes you feel like you have been transported to the east coast. The charm of this place is unmatched; the chrome chairs, leopard print booths, and mirrored walls are all so nostalgic. Italian opera music playing in the background is just the cherry on top. Our server, Alessandro, greeted us warmly and made suggestions that were perfect for us. He was polite, kind, and very attentive. All the staff was dressed in a classic way with vests and slacks--something you just don't get very often anymore. We really cannot express enough how amazing the food was. This is easily the best Italian food we've found in AZ. The complementary bread is warm and buttery, and the recommended "award winning" Caesar salad was a perfect start. I wish I could share a picture of the gnocchi that we had, but we inhaled it so fast that there was no chance to snap a picture. My chicken parm and his osso buco (pictured) were rich with flavor. My partner said "this food would make my Italian grandmother proud." In short, this local spot deserves all the love! Don't hesitate to come here for a nice meal and great service.

Incredible food and what a menu. Such variety in menu options and great wine selection. We had the BV Cab with the shrimp and lobster appetizer before enjoying lasagna and pasta. A shame they were out of canelloni as it's my favorite, but excellent overall. Also lovely staff.

The food was good as always but the service was terrible. I hate to give this somewhat negative review because this place once set a table for my group when they were full. The service has gone downhill at least on this occasion. The pasta e fagioli soup was awesome. Obviously homemade with fresh ingredients, bursting with flavor, but not too salty. The Italian Antipasto was great. Assortment of the good stuff in a fairly large portion. The veal piccata was above average but definitely not the best around. The service was bad. It was an excessively long meal where the waitress barely waited on our party of 10. Drink service was slow and the drinks were generally not good.

I experienced something new, an extra-ordinary meal from a singularly unexpected source. To say that both the meal and its maker have challenged my preconceptions about fine cooking is a gross understatement. They at Avanti's have rocked me to my core. In the past, I have made no secret of my disdain for American restaurants posing as "authentic Italian" But I realize, only now do I truly understand what it takes to care enough to commit to being the best italian restauran. Not only the best Italian but the best "authentic Italian" restaurant. It is difficult to imagine more humble origins than those of the genius now cooking at Avanti's, who is, in my opinion, nothing less than the finest chef in Arizona and probably all of Italy. I will be returning to Avanti's soon, hungry for more. Bravo.

Seven friends getting together for dinner. Round tables are great for conversation. Food was excellent and service was too. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. Dover Sole was outstanding.

Location was easy to find. Parking was good. Service was very slow. Garlic bread was not fresh. The main meal was very good. Liked the looks of the restaurant. Had a piano player who seemed to know his business. I would try it once. if you like it, you would go again.

Just what I was looking for... fancy date night, ambiance, excellent food, great service.! Genie was very attentive on Valentines night even tho you could see how busy they were. Angelo was the sweetest guy checking in on us. Can't wait to return.!!!!
We enjoyed our pre-valentines dinner at Avanti. The food and drinks are delicious. We loved the oysters Rockefeller appetizer. The restaurant is very dated and reminds us of a blast from the past. The only room for improvements would be nice to see a face lift in the venue.

Our hostess, Gaby, was also our server and she was a total delight! The meat lasagna was tasty, the Spaghetti and Meatballs very good, and the linguini with white clam sauce was delicious. We also had a very good pilot noir.
