We have been coming here semi-regularly for months, and I keep hoping for better from Cortado BC, but I keep being disappointed. My hope with this review is to encourage some positive changes at this location, not to shame or harm the business. After all, we keep coming back. But there are simple things they consistently get wrong. They have delicious food, but they need to get it right. Some of the issues we've had here include: * forgotten drink order. Had to approach barista and request the cup of tea we ordered 30 minutes earlier. Yeah, they forgot basically the easiest drink order a coffee shop could get. * they don't toast the bagels. Even when we specifically ask them to, like we did this morning, we got an untoasted bagel covered in cream cheese. At least put the cream cheese on the side so I can toast it at home? But honestly, just toast the bagels for us. Why is that so hard? You're a "bread company" ffs * ordered scrambled eggs. They were wet. Pool of water on my plate wet. * ordered avocado toast with scrambled eggs. Was served avocado toast with over easy eggs. Pretty disappointing when you hate runny yolks. * asked for a hot matcha latte. Was given an iced matcha latte. * avocado toast was served on thick white bread instead of the usual Multigrain with seeds. They probably ran out, but at least replace it with something else good like sourdough or wheat. White bread just felt lazy. Truly, I'm more surprised when they get it right than when they get it wrong. I expect them to mess up at least 1-2 things every time. And this place isn't cheap. It is priced slightly higher than it should be. Again, the food is *good*, but we've started asking ourselves why we keep going back. The staff is friendly, the shop is cozy, and the customers are nice as well. The incompetence is out of place. Please do better.

Amazing coffee and the bakery is amazing! My son always gets the breakfast burrito which is enough for two people. It is huge but he is a growing boy. This is our favorite coffee shop around and we love employees also.

I'm not even a sandwich person but I CRAVE cortado's!!! Southwest chicken sandwich is my absolute favorite--honestly can't go wrong with any of them. The caramalized onions on the turkey brie is also bomb. Tuna melt--amazing. Honey lavender matcha was so delicious, and the magic bar is my favorite for dessert. Wanted to give Alexis a shout out--he was so personable, kind, professional, and a stand out, hardworking employee. We had a great experience there and because of him alone we will be back!! Thank you Alexis!!!

Great place to stop and get a coffee. Skip the chain starbucks junk folks!!! These guys had all the standard coffee stuff but also tons of breakfast, pastries, and good stuff that i didn't expect. Will go back for sure

This place is so cute! I saw it when I was in the plaza for CVS the day before and decided to try it out. They have so much food to offer-breakfast/brunch, acai bowls, and LOTS of delicious desserts!! I tried a valentine's day drink "honey nut with strawberry" and it was so good. An iced latte with strawberry cold foam on top?! Sign me up. The coffee is delicious. Smooth, well balanced and aromatic. I am eager to come back for a coffee and desserts date. Can't wait!

Excellent cappuccino, and great everything avocado toast. Little cramped if you plan on sitting inside. Getting the food was a little slow but it made up for in taste. Would come again.

Cortado is simply amazing. We needed something authentic, and with selections we can only find in Mesa or places further out if this neighborhood. Finally! A spot where you can get cortado any time, and birria for.breakfasr if you want. Best coffee. Best pastries and ok service. It's just simply amazing. This is not one of those places you can visit everyday tho. You will end up broke. The prices are on the high side. But hey if you have it like that... This is one spot not to miss!

The main reason for the review is to let others know they do not sell bread. Odd for a place calling themselves bread crafters. I had the Cali club. It was good. I thought it expensive but it was good. Service was unhelpful, not slow or mean just didn't help an obviously new customer with choices available.Food was good enough to go back.

2023.12.17 the only reason I come here is to meet a client who lives nearby. And that is the only reason. I have never had a good experience here, only passable or mediocre and today was no exception. I will give credit for the mixed berry scone, which is really good and could be improved by eliminating or at least reducing the heavy sugar crust. I ordered a large drip coffee with half and half, I got the coffee. It was somewhere between a light and medium roast. Not as fruity as a true light roast and definitely not the body of a medium roast. I will only be back to meet with my clientSo, I got an unserious response to my review. I left out originally that the drink maker behind the counter took forever to pour a basic coffee while serving 2 or 3 other customers who came in after me. I had to ask twice, after ordering, then go back for half and half he left out (it was on the order slip). The other pastries all looked like sugar bombs and I went with the scone because it seemed to be the least sugared. I cleaned most of it off myself but that's not the point and I'll drop my rating from 3 down to 2. If you are making the pastries, consider making some plain. Issue resolved. And if I wanted a muffin or breakfast, I would have ordered that. I have been to this store a few times, service has always been mediocre, and the coffee is just ok. That's how I see it, I have my own coffee import business, I usually brew my own beans at home (and no I'm not a pour over snob) that I have roasted in the Phoenix area. I doubt there will be a next time

Todays special only available on Sunday’s. The portions are huge and it comes with eggs, tortilla, rice and beans. True Mexican flavors. The slow cooked meat melts in your mouth. Perfectly cooked eggs and delicious beans and flavorful rice !! It will come back again. I am a true fan. For desert they have brownies, cookies and Chai pudding! Everything is baked here. The pudding awesome! Today i tried the peanut butter cookie, out of this world! Bamm a flavor explosion ? love coming here!

I have been going to cortado coffee for quite a while. They have the absolute best, fresh roasted coffee! But last week when I went to look for Bread Crafters in Paradise Valley I was so sad to see their location closed. But absolutely ecstatic to see it opened inside cortado coffee. Much closer to my house! Now I can go all the time and get there amazing muffins, sandwiches, soups, and salads. Their food is absolutely outstanding! And the coffee is nothing short of amazing! Highly recommend!

This restaurant is excellent. Their soups, salads, and sandwiches are to be compared with the quality of the highest-priced restaurants. Yet, their prices are reasonable. Still, I understand they are closed at this time. Where did they go? And when will they open again?

This used to be one of my favorite lunch places, but after they moved to the new location everything has changed. The sandwiches are completely different than what they once were! Different bread different sauces, Complete disappointment!

The best, it has a variety of sweets and the sandwiches are delicious and large portion!

Not sure what happened to this place ??Normally the food is good. This time my food was soggy and undercooked. Asked for a crispy bacon ? blt ? bread soggy, bacon undercooked and 75%fatty . I could not eat it. The place was so busy and running behind on orders that I couldn’t get my order changed and make it to work on time. I was really bummed to see how downhill this once great place went ….
