I love Hillstone and have been coming here for years, but have never felt compelled to write a review. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere, and the service are always first rate. I went a couple weeks back and there was a mishap with my credit card when we went to settle up, but the manager was quick to address the issue, very apologetic, and took care of our meal that night. We ended up going back a few nights ago and the same manager recognized us and returned my card along with a gift card for future use. A gesture that was beyond kind and definitely not necessary. Hillstone has always been a favorite for a reason—they do things the right way and take care of their people! We appreciated how the situation was handled. If I could go every day, I would!

The food was good but, wow, the burgers are as thin as ever. They use to have a substantial amount of beef. No more tenderloin option for my favorite Evil Jungle Noodle Salad (f/k/a). Overall, not bad but not as great as it once was when the economy was flourishing and inflation wasn't ridiculously high.
Walked into this place and walked up to the hostess. He stood there and was not friendly at all. Didn’t welcome us in or ask us for our name. They were very busy at the time and they wanted us to wait over 2 hours to get in. They said sit on the patio to order something. We waited. Early 30 minutes for someone to come and serve us and eventually just ended up walking away. It looked nice and the food looked good but because of the service we were unable to eat or drink anything. Very disappointed as we had been wanting to try this place for a while.

Hillstone is always a sure thing whether just drinks, lunch, happy hour or dinner.Unfortunately because this was a business lunch I did not take any photos.I ordered the Famous French Dip. Not the first time I’ve had it here.As always, the fries are crispy and the meat, tender and perfectly cooked.I’ve also been here for happy hour and the Smoked Salmon is AMAZING.Great place for fun, social meetings and business.I’ll definitely post photos as soon as I get a chance.

Good service and atmosphere, but thought overpriced for what you get. Miss having Banderas in Old Town. Hillstone not a good place to go if you have kids. Parking is tight too.

With Covid you should have the patio available for any kind of food you want not just appetizers absolutely ridiculous that you don’t accommodate to people who still care about a deadly virus that has killed or disabled millions of people.

With the rising food costs, I was shocked to see the menu items are actually very reasonable, especially for the service, upscale atmosphere, and of course the sheer quality of the food.If you're looking for a stellar meal, top-notch wait staff, and a sophisticated experience....Hillstone nails it.Be sure to visit their sister restaurant, Houston's, as well.
