I ordered the ribs and the tri trip, the ribs were boiled and tough, the tri tip was also tough. I go here often and it's usually great, not this time. The service was friendly and the establishment was clean.

Update #2:We went to give Black Bear another try. This time the service was good and the food was much better than the last time. Will be given this place another try. Hopefully it will be as good or better than this time.Update:Have been going to this Black Bear ever since it opened. This place used to be the best place to get breakfast in south Phoenix/Leveen area. The last year this place has really went down hill. Service is minimal at best, but the quality and quantity has went in the toilet. I understand that you have to make money in your business. But to cut portions and quality of the food is since less. I would rather pay more to keep the quality of food they used to have and pay more for the quantity. I can stay closer to my house and get bad food for the same price than to drive 10 miles to get this stuff. Black Bear Corp should take a good look at the management of this place!!A five star only because there is are no ten stars. These people here are awesome. Very caring and treat you like family. . Or better than family..God bless them

Came in late and sat down to eat, the kitchen is playing horrible rap music with racial slurs and tons of swearing. The cooks were making dog noises at each other and acting like they were in a frat house. Super annoying to listen to while trying to eat. They also took forever to bring our food out and there were only 2 other tables seated in the entire place. Made it more annoying know they were goofing off rather than servicing the customers. Good wasn't that good either

When this place first opened, it was good. The food was good.. my fav is breakfast so I always make sure I get the hash-browns. I recently went in after not going for a few months. The food wasn’t as good. And I got the smallest portion of hash browns. The California omelet is what I always order here. It was less cheesy and smaller. I’ll go back again just to be sure… maybe they were just having an off day.

Food taste pretty good - Gf liked salmon. But I ordered/paid for a double cheeseburger basket with no tomato. Received a single with extra tomato.
Love a good diner. My son had a steak, and I had breakfast with pancakes. 13 year old son didn't complain at which is a miracle

We had the 10 oz NY strip steak ? 2 drinks 2 coffees, coconut cream pie, $89. Plus tip…the steak was tough… I didn’t like the salad dressing To me it wasn’t worth it… but the pie was good.
