Came for lunch, had dinner by the time we sat down. Seriously be ready to wait 45 minutes, even if you get there early. Drinks are priced for the ballpark or Disneyland. The BBQ is a solid 6/10 but nothing to make a special trip over. This place seems to have an unwarranted reputation for being stellar. I know BBQ, it's good, but not great. And the line comes to a full-stop far too often while they take 5 minutes sorting out a single customer. They could sling twice the food if they got organized. Because of all this, I personally won't be back, but understand if others feel the 45 minutes wait is worth it.Also, I'd give it 3 stars, but the slap in the face is being prompted, that's right, straight up ASKED for a tip after this long wait.Lastly, I truly think this place has stumbled upon an undeserved cause and effect assumption that nobody has ever pondered. They (and many customers apparently) would tell you the long wait is because the food is so darn good. I BELIEVE people ASSUME it's the best barbeque ever, because they waited 45 minutes and now have to justify it, even if subconsciously. When you put all that aside, and think clearly, this place isn't as good as most Phoenix area BBQ places. The bottom line is they are dreadfully slow due to their excruciatingly slow serving process, not the demand for the food.

Finally made it here. Brisket was a bit salty, but ?. The jalapeño grits would be my reason to return. Of course price is up there but that's all restaurants these days.

Excellent! Quick stop on the way to Sky Harbor. All meat, combos or sandwiches.....you won't be disappointed.

Great food like everyone says but they need to rebuild their service table. There is a single person taking one meat out at a time and hand cutting them for the customer as they decide what they want next. All the while, three other employees stand and watch.. Would be much more efficient in reverse. Take people's orders from the front of the line and the person who is cutting the meat should be fulfilling those orders. Am I missing something? Why do we all have to stand in line for 20 mins to get a sandwich?

This bbq is sooo good. I had the brisket, pulled pork, and sausages. They were all so juicy and tasty. The grits were great as well. Def don't skip the pecan pie either. I'd def go back and recommend to a friend.
My first time there. Be there early everyone said. I was there with 6 of my friends and already a line. Did I mention they open at 11:00am. The lean brisket sandwich was wonderful! Potatoe salad was goid, but could have been a little more moist. Staff was very friendly. Would definitely go back. Sat at picnic tables to the back of tge restaurant.
