We found the restaurant online looking for Mexican food near Pickering and found this one. The reviews all seemed to be good, although post dinner perhaps dated. We started off with the Guacamole $9.95 and an order of Calamari at $13.95. The Guacamole was good and tasty. The Calamari although tasty was not cut all the way through. We had to pull it apart the rings at our table which sprayed some of the delicious cactus sauce on two people and their clean clothes. For the price and any price this have not been an issue. Two in our party order burritos of a sort as their mains and another fajita. All three were happy with their meals. I wanted to try something I had not before. I order the Pollo Adelita. I asked if it was spicy and white or dark chicken meat. She told me it was spicy and was a big chicken breast. Two things, it was not remotely spicy nor a chicken breast. It was a chicken cullet beaten to a pulp with no moisture in it although the sauce all over it was deliciousness. It would have been even better with some heat. It came with the smallest serving of rice and some refried beans. Overall, I stopped on the way home to order a McChicken because the meals protein portion was so small. Wed might try the restaurant again but most definitely will not waste my appetite on the $22.95 Pollo Adelita unless they offer to sell it with a second cullet, for more, no problem. The number one thing that bothered me, they only had gasoline tequila. For a Mexican authentic restaurant and a birthday dinner, I thought there would be a selection to choose from.

I was very excited to try this restaurant based upon its rating; however, the food was very mediocre. The tortilla soup was very watery and contained the most basic ingredients, along with soggy tortilla chips at the bottom. The fish tacos were lacking the typical crunchy slaw and were fairly bland. The burrito contained ground beef rather than a stewed shredded beef. The burrito and chicken enchilada contained no ingredients other than the meat, some tomatoes and a bit of cheese topping. I would have been disappointed with this meal even at half the price.
