This is absolutely the spot to get away from the down town atmosphere.

Kinda hard to find - which is how it should be. I’m not telling you, it’s part of the fun.The vibe in here is rad. Super dark, nice light fixtures, live plant wall. Chill. Check.Food:Came for the shrimp. Yes they were huge but they were just OK. I find the cocktail sauce to be strangely sweet, and they also skimped out on the amount. They were also a tad rubbery - as if they were frozen and thawed. Which they may be - I mean, we are in AZ. The oysters may have been my least favorite that I’ve ever had. They were just, well, bleh. The mignonette needs a revamp. Wayyyyyy too many onions and way too tart. Also, give me all the goodies to slap on there. I like giving myself a zing from horseradish.Drinks:Strike #1. Heck, and #2 - no hazy beers. I mean, they are literally all the rage everywhere you go - and for good reason. At least carry the local legends Church Music or Spellbinder. But hey, we are at a speakeasy, so let’s get a drink. They have a drink that they unveil through smoke on a cake platter. Got my interest. It was an old fashioned- which is my drink. The bartender rattled off the ingredients which sounded, well….. way overdone. I asked if it was sweet. Bartender said No, not really at all. I wasn’t buying it, so I asked if there was another old fashioned that was less sweet, more liquor forward. He said not really any less than that one. So I went for it. $25 later, it was the worst excuse of an old fashioned I’ve ever had. It just tasted like fake syrups mixed together. Yes - insanely sweet. After I threw it back just to be done the bartender asked how it was. I said - man, it was super sweet. He said sorry, that’s on me and walked away. Not as in he took care of it. Just admitted that he mislead me, but it didn’t feel very genuine. Also, know your drinks. We asked another bartender what was in the house white blend. She just said “I don’t know.” Fair, that’s not something you may know of the top of your head. But try being a good bartender and grabbing the bottle to see. It’s called service - the industry you’re in. She preferred to flirt with the host from the corner of the bar and never checked back on us.

This speakeasy was a bit hard to find at first as they tend to be but we finally found it. The drinks were spot on good with a pretty presentation, the food ??tasty, our waiter was cool, loved the decor. (Next time I’ll take photos of that part) I would describe the atmosphere like Boho mixed with a late night chill NYC bar vibes if that makes any sense ?

Such a fun place to come have some specialty cocktails. The vibe here is mellow, but fun. Great place for a date night or chill time with a group of friends. Love the speakeasy atmosphere and incognito entrance!

We stopped by after the women's march right as they opened so we were able to get right in. I had the toy plane which was an excellent drink. it was surprising on the first sip but as you got thru the drink and grew accustomed to the flavors it really stood out. I forget what my wife had but it had a drop of basil oil in it and she still talks about that drink. It is a testimony to the complex flavors when you can remember the flavor of a drink a month later.Parking: it's downtown, it is never easy to find parking. Use the light rail.

Pigtails should be a go-to spot for cocktails in Downtown Phoenix. Although the seating is limited inside, we've never had a problem getting a seat in a reasonable time. Highly recommend!

Second visit to Pigtails Downtown. The billboard outside clued us in on location. We needed a little help finding it last time. Fun cocktails and great service!

The service was terrible and the server was rude the entire time. We were polite, thankful, and spent $500 (including a large tip) but we’re treated absolutely terribly. An hour before close we were told to order another drink or leave. When one of our party tried to speak to someone who worked there about the service and rude attitude they were asked to leave. Drinks were good but definitely overpriced. Would not recommend.
