When they changed owners, updated…whatever they did they should’ve dropped the name Express to stagnant, delayed, hella slow. This place is anything but fast. We came in around noon for a “quick” lunch. My friend and I decided to try this place out as my friend was craving tofu and veggie pho. I ordered the chicken vermicelli bowl. She loved the pho, it was filled with noodles and had decent amount of veggies and tofu. I enjoyed my meal as well, the sauce on the chicken combined with peanut sauce and added pickle sauce from pickled carrots added a flavorful dimension to the bowl--so much that I cleared the bowl. I went to the carefree hwy location and ordered two bowls of the combination pho to go and when I got home, I noticed they didn’t give me any bean sprouts, basil and onions and condiments. It was just the soup and noodles with meat. Pho is not as good without the herbs and vegetables! They almost forgot my two drinks too but luckily I remembered to ask about that. Soup was not as flavorful as I’ve had before. pho is more Americanized now.
