There is one line for all drinkers to get filled. Patio next to the club for smoking. There's live music normally in this club with a calendar of events. The main reason I go to this place is because I can't find something somewhere else which is A karaoke bar which favors punk rock, heavy metal, and ska. I don't know if the DJ mixes things up. It seems like they call names in order the name were received in other words I put a request in a couple hours before close and I did not get called and someone else got called two or three times. There are a lot of screaming punk songs in which the DJ allows the level to go above 100 decibel so I would request bringing earplugs or suffer hearing damage. Karaoke is three nights a week if I'm in Phoenix and it's karaoke night and Im not too tired I'm always there. The drinks are always pretty cheap between $5 and $10 for beer and cocktails. Bartenders aren't too smiley or sociable but it's understandable considering the roughnecks that go through here. Ages 21-45 average. Good female male ratio LGBTQ welcome.Parking: Their lot is always filled there's only about 10 spots. It's on a very long neighborhood street which has plenty of parking you may have to park about six houses down the roadKid-friendliness: Kids are not allowedWheelchair accessibility: This is a very small bar that gets packed very quick there's no way you're going to get a wheelchair through this place. The patio however does have a gate entrance that comes in from a parking lot and usually somebody checking at that gate so you may be able to go to the outside smoking area with the wheelchair but you would not get there through the bar. You definitely won't get through the door very easily coming or going inside

So this has been my local spot for a good while now up until a month ago when my phone was stolen by someone who frequents the bar as well, can’t see myself coming back in the future because bar staff refuses to acknowledge the issue and continue to serve them and allow them to theif off other patrons. Really a shame for such a great spot to drink and relax

Great bar and drink prices are low. Lots of variety from punk bands to karaoke and all vinyl DJ's. Wonderful staff, and even better owner. A really inviting environment, especially for those who go alone. Once you're there, you have friends.

Went there to support my friends selling their artwork. Live music was cool. Seeing all the artists and their creations was really fun. There was one bartender who was also the cashier made the wait for drinks longer than I would have liked but it was still fine. Drinks were meh but cheap. The bar itself is an old place but with tons of character and good vibes.
Great local dive with low prices and fun company. Service is generally better if you're a regular. If not give a little patience and you may yet become a regular yourself.

Came to Rips as part of a birthday celebration. Rip's was chosen by the person who's birthday it was because it is one of their favorite bars, and it was karaoke night. Aside from the people there for the birthday, not many additional people were in the bar. The guy running karaoke said that while he doesn't have a book, he has hundreds of thousands of songs. He has yet to have someone request a song he doesn't have. He wiped down the microphone in-between each singer. Drinks were very reasonably priced. Full bar along with beer and cider on tap. Only one bartender was working the night I was there. She was busy. She remained calm, cool, collected, and still managed to be engaging.
