If you want fresh baked bread or treats this is the place to come. I try and show up early in the morning and catch the bakers putting out fresh warm European style bread. I slice up a half a loaf and eat it with a little butter and a tiny pinch of sea salt.
Great staff and managers, do all my shopping here and use my reward card to save on gas, there is a small bank in store, a redbox, and a Starbucks as well, all in all great place to get food and lottery tickets, i gave it 4 stars because people always are loitering outside by the bench asking for money and its annoying. I will update if the problem gets fixed, otherwise its a 4 only.
Safeway has the best grocery store bakery anywhere. The sourdough goes quickly so get in early. The bagels are a surprise! They are really good. Way better than Einsteins. Get cream cheese, jelly, smoked salmon or whatever else you like. I can't say enough about how great the Safeway bakery is. The whe store is the best.
