Came here for lunch with my friends, this place a little tiny but very nice decorated every holiday,

Amazing food, amazing waiter (Nick) and a fun crowd. The only Mexican restaurant that has great wine paired with great food other than the Mission.

Since the new owner has taken full charge the place has gone way down. It looks trashy most of the time, I'm sure a fire hazard and the food is ok at best. The prices have gone up which is understandable to an extent but now they have all these additional fees of chips +$, salsa +$, and an additional technology service" fee of 3% for using a credit card. I will say service has remained consistently good.

Dinner last night - Delicious food , excellent service. & Happy Hour prices, Place should have been packed. Not so. My take - THE MUSIC. Why are you playing 70,'s hits? Those in their 50-60's have been hearing these songs for 40+ years, and anyone younger wants current tunes. Reason we go out is good food and current music. Just a suggestion...

Fajitas are odd and tasted more like Chinese stir fry with mushrooms. Salsa is bland. Margaritas were good!

Great service and food experience on a Sunday afternoon. This place is a must for the holiday time, as it is over the top Christmas! It was still "wrapped up" mid January. We had the usual chips and salsa to start, with an added more-picante salsa, as well a queso. Also had the Diablo Eggs, which had a light creamy flavor. Not the heat I was expecting. For an entree, we split carne asada tacos. I rarely order carne asada as often less-tender. The GF was adamant to order, and yes they fit my expectation, although good. Happy to observe the bartender giving the bar a wipe down upon our arrival. This is a basic step for any establishment and often overlooked. I prefer to eat on a clean surface. No menu tossed down on glass/bottle rings please. I did not pay attention to a "technology fee" as described in another review. If true, this is a bit of a dealbreaker for me, or I just subtract it from the tip percent (sorry... if you force me to pay extra, the server will get less $).

Food is good and Gilbert is awesome! It seems like the owner does not know that Christmas is over and it's time to take the decorations down! Last year she kept them up for months! Makes me not want to go in there until she takes them down. Extremely annoying.

absolutely ridiculous that you have to pay $5 for chips and salsa -service slow - over priced - food was good - not good enough to pay $5 for chips and salsa

Not thrilled with my experience here and won't be back. If my entree is $25+ at a Mexican restaurant then I don't expect to be shaken down like I'm flying a budget airline. $5 for chips and salsa 3.5% "Technology Fee" for using a credit card No thanks!

Birthday lunch was amazing. Chips are super thin and not greasy and the salsa...so good. I had two tacos and my mom had the potato taquitos ...all was delicious! Great service as well. The sopapillas were incredible...drizzled with cinnamon sugar, chocolate, and caramel! Fabulous!

We had a reservation on the patio I made 2 weeks earlier. In the reservation I had stated that if we would also be open to sit inside, but only in the main area. When we got there they put us in the new side area which feels like a child care room. When I spoke to the manager his reply was “there's nothing I can do. I can't kick people out of their seats.”

If you love over the top Christmas decorations, this is the place to go, but go with a group as they don't take reservations for parties less than 8 people. They were on a wait of 1h45min at 4:30pm for smaller parties. I think everyone was pretty happy with their food. Kids liked the quesadillas for appetizers and most had street tacos for dinner. My daughter loved the barbacoa enchiladas. The burritos are huge. I had the ahi tuni which was better than I expected. Prices are high, but tis the season! Service was actually better than I expected.

Arrival and Atmosphere:Upon entering Salt and Lime Cantina, the festive Christmas decor and bustling crowd set a merry ambiance. However, the downside became apparent as by 6:30 PM, the restaurant had to turn away eager diners. A suggestion: implementing a voicemail system to inform potential patrons when at max capacity could ease disappointment.Interior Design:While embracing the Christmas theme, the excessive use of decorations appeared gaudy and lacked a cohesive layout. The abundance of aluminum wrapping paper and LED lighting felt chaotic rather than organized, almost like a holiday explosion.Food Exploration:The fajitas showcased a unique cooking style, cutting the meat with vegetables, resulting in tender but differently textured bites. Black beans lacked flavor, necessitating extra seasoning. Subpar rice got a flavor boost from corn. Pico de gallo and guacamole were meager, reflecting a lack of pride in preparation. The mushroom queso stood out with quality white queso adhering deliciously to tortilla chips. For Water Aficionados:Water enthusiasts, beware. While free, the glasses provided are half the size of soda drinks, subtly nudging towards purchasing larger beverages. A recommendation: consider bringing your filtered water for a more satisfying hydration experience.Overall Impressions:Rating the overall experience at 3/5, the extended wait, coupled with mixed feelings about the decor and food, makes a revisit unlikely. However, for takeout enthusiasts seeking a quick meal, the rating edges up to 3.5/5, making Salt and Lime Cantina a viable option.Personal Insight:Hailing from Texas, my love for Mexican cuisine is ingrained. Health-conscious and valuing culinary excellence, my experience is shaped by a preference for high-quality, fresh ingredients. I abstain from alcohol, sodas, and juices, making me an unconventional judge of drink menus.

The food was delicious. I got the barbacoa enchiladas. I also had the house margaritas and the were delish too. The server was prompt and courteous. I recommend this place.

Good atmosphere for contemplating the fallacy of pretzels. Often time I think about why we are instead of how, this place resolved these internal conflicts. Would go again.
