My friend and I stopped in tonight for a glass of wine. What a nice experience! I ordered the house chardonnay and it tasted crisp and tasteful. The atmosphere is beautiful and calming, and our bartender was knowledgeable about wines, attentive and very personable. I can't wait to go back!

I'm unsure why I haven't yet written a review about one of my favorite places in Arizona. This is one of those places that make living here so good. Sure, you can go to Total Wine, or even Safeway, but if you truly appreciate wine, this is the spot. Why? The people who work here are passionate about their work, and that comes out in every interaction. I know more about wine than most people, but find it pointless to make my own selections when I'm able to learn so much from the amazing staff at The Wine Store at Tarbell's. I've discovered so many amazing wines and spirits that I would never have experienced. Keeping it real, their prices are a bit higher than Total Wine, but you're not getting the unique selection and curation offered by these amazing people. As a wine club member, their prices dip slightly below those at Total Wine, and I get 'free wine' every month. I don't and won't buy wine anywhere else, and would drive here from any part of the Valley if I had to. This is an incredible place run by incredible people that any wine and spirits lover would fall in love with as much as we have.

Very cool place! Great selection of wine. Dropped in for a wine, received a great recommendation. You can also buy a bottle at retail and enjoy there.

I quickly stopped in at the wine shop Thursday evening while in town for a couple of days. I was on a mission to get good AZ wine. There was a dinner happening in the wine space, but I was able to squeeze around the diners to access the shelves. There's a smaller than expected selection of AZ wine. Flying Leap was what I really wanted, and I was just as happy to buy a few bottles of Callahan. The location of the AZ shelf could also be improved, it's at the bottom corner, and really should be at eye level and more accessible to promote local producers. The biggest surprise was the shelf of Mexican wine! I know Baja has good wine, but spotted a bottle from Guanajuato and grabbed that to try.

Today was my first time going into Tarbell's and it was an amazing experience. Renee Lupia was the sales associate to help me and my husband pick out some bottles of wine and I couldn't have asked for better customer service. She was so kind and incredibly knowledgeable about the wine being discussed. I highly recommend coming to Tarbell's if you're looking for a good bottle of wine and if you need any help ask for Renee!(:

Great spot to go. Always friendly and always have what I’m looking for. Find myself talking with hoot and the other workers. 10/10 recommend.

Tarbell’s Tavern is always good and is one of our favorite places to eat. Having the wine store connected where you can get a bottle of wine to drink with your dinner just ads to the experience!

Amazing selection and knowledgeable staff. A lot of really unique bottles here. If you're into trying new ones that are not commercially available, this is your place.

I have hope in food in the Phoenix area! There are a lot of chain resturants here that I don't want to go to and tried some new places but they struck out-Decided to try Tarbells and was so happy with my selection-I was picking my boyfriend up from the airport and he was on CST time so 4:15 was the reservation time, very early dinner but luckily they open at 4:00-Another table was seated and slowly the place filled up, and not with senior citizens...if that is what some may think-Had the Welcome to the Jungle cocktail, I have many 5 drinks a year, very picky and this was excellent, had a subtle smokiness to it-Burratta and fig appetizer, not heavy, perfect harmony of flavors-I couldn't decide b/t the halibut or scallops and I was shocked when our waiter said I could do half of each, that is a first for me-Both were amazing and perfect portions-Boyfriend had the 10 oz filet, normally he has a "discard" pile of fatty/grissle and there was none-Dessert was the carmel cheesecake, only had a couple bites and took it home in which it took us 2 days to eat it, very rich but very good-I would for sure come back to Tarbell's, great food and staff-
