“The food is awesome. Love their salads and soups! Can never go wrong with the grilled cheese or quiche here! My favorite time is when the garden patio is open but the inside is cute and cozy too in winter! Haven't tried dinner yet, but that's next!“

“The Hungry Buffalo is an incredible restaurant. The owner, Scott Waddle, always makes sure that their customers are well taken care of. They have the best Prime Rib in the White Mountains. They have the best Friday Fish Fry in the White Mountains and they have the Best Pizza in the White Mountains. My wife and I love the place and are often there with friends!“

“Delicious food. A bit on the healthier side too. Had the special po' boy fish sandwich.4/12/24 here again. Dinner this time. Great service spent a little more this time (beers) $20 to $30. Special BBQ pork sliders tonight. Good but...the buns were cool rather than heated. I think heating the buns would enhance the meal. Going to try the pork wings next time. Really , pork wings? So can pigs fly?“

“We wanted ice cream! Unfamiliar with this town, we drove to McDonald's. Of course they don't have ice cream so we climb back into the car and travel around. We see Mountain Dream Creamery but thought it was closed because it's actually tucked BEHIND a restaurant that was closed. This place reminds me of a Baskin-Robbins mixed with Cold Stone Ice Creamery. Service was great and friendly. We all got something yummy, sat outside and gobbled it down. You really should check this place out!“

“Very neat place, laid back and welcoming mom and pop diner; owned by a champion bass fisherman named Johnny. Food is good. It was very busy on a Sunday, but the waitresses were very professional, gracious (they stopped and gave me some travel advice when I asked even though it was busy, but they still kept up the smooth flow behind the counter), well organized, hard-working. Special shoutout to Felicia, who was very accommodating, responsible, and kept her eye on the flow of the whole restaurant. This is the kind of person you want working in this environment. Watch out Johnny, another restaurant may hire her away“

“food was good, expected it to be more like traditional bbq rather than chain but still good. Portions a little small, but sides were good. The drinks were a bit expensive, and i expected the sweet tea or lemonade to be made in house like a traditional bbq spot, but was just Lipton/Minute Maid - not sure why that's $3+. Coupon from the website made the price fairly reasonable, otherwise would have been disappointed in value for dollar. BBQ sauce in a sealed retail cup had no heart into it which is unfortunate.“

“My husband and I went to try this on the fish Friday. We hadn't been here before and didn't realize when you arrive you have to put your name on a list to be seated. But a nice guest informed us. After we got our name on the list, we were seated pretty quickly and didn't have to wait long. The staff was really nice and the food was as good as we have been hearing about for years. We did the buffet and were glad that word of mouth has been so right. Everything was delicious. And for a buffet type restaurant, it wasn't very loud even though it was busy. We will definitely be back.“

“My husband and I are new to the mountain and we love to eat out, we have been to Charlie Clark's a few times and have never been disappointed. The food is soooo good, love the atmosphere on the enclosed porch area, and my favorite dish is chicken fried chicken with mash potatoes smothered in white gravy, it's to die for, my husband's is the Prime Rib and enjoys every bite. The entire staff are top notch, friendly, professional and all are a delight to have conversations with. We usually try to go weekly to get my chicken fried chicken fix for the week, lol, check them out, you will not be dissapointed.“

“This is a fun place with good food. They are a little slow on the service—it’s an order at the counter joint but they’re busy and it takes a while to get your food. The quality of the good is great. The taste is great and everything is hot and fresh. They could do a better job cleaning tables but they are busy. Would eat here again for sure.Vegetarian options: There are no meat salads and appetizers but it’s primarily burgers and sandwiches.“

“Fantastic food and drinks. I got an Asian chicken wrap while my daughter got bbq pork street tacos. Some kind of pink drink was the special of the day. Made with coconut milk. I have no idea how they made it but wowza! Everything was very yummy and flavorful. Took a while to get our food as the place was packed and noticed they have a heavy flow of takeout orders coming in. So completely understandable. Service was excellent. Bathroom and dining room very clean. I travel through Show Low quite a bit so will definitely be coming again.“
