Wonderful place to get amazing coffee and relax in a comfortable, beautiful environment. The service is friendly and good. It's our favorite place to relax in Prescott. It's in a vintage building and is part of Founding Father's Collective that is shared with the cutest barber shop, John Hancock Barbershop (people come out looking awesome but I don't have personal experience) and City Tavern Taproom. There's lots of space but it still feels cozy in a snowy day! Our most recent visit was Easter and they hid eggs for all the little visitors! It was so fun watching them search for and find their treats! Mine are all grown and it brought back so many memories! Merchant Coffee is truly a wonderful addition to the community!

Not a fan of gluten free pastries, but if you like that then you'll love the snacks! GF muffins, scones, and cookies. Hot chocolate was very good. Vibe is excellent. Plenty of places to sit.Dietary restrictions: Plenty of vegan/GF options

Best espresso in all of Prescott, located within the Founding Fathers Collective space. I had an oat milk latte that was perfect (at cafes without experience, its easy to burn the milk and it ruins the taste) and my partner had the burnt orange chai that was soo darn good that I wish I had ordered it myself - not too sweet with just a dash of spice and orange, it was like a perfect light dessert. We went at around 1pm on a Monday, there were several people there and only one person on staff, so all considered, the wait time was normal but not the best place to stop if you're in a rush. They also sell a local chocolate that's award winning, so make sure to grab a bar. If you're looking for high quality, this is the place to go.

Stayed the weekend up here with my partner! I was thrilled to come here every day and even a few times after our morning coffee. Each time we had a different barista, but rest assured the quality service was consistent each time. I also enjoyed the pastries and the vibe is just so friendly. It’s a bit more polished but I’d say this place has quality employees, coffee, and pastries. I’m going to miss this when I am back in PHX. There is a reason this place has 5 stars. Also - The reception lady for the beer/babrber shop is an absolute pleasure!!! Love this place. Can’t wait to come back!!!

Best coffee in Prescott, period. They also default to 4 shots on their espresso drinks :) Lifeblood of champions!

We randomly stopped in because I needed a coffee and hot chocolate for my kiddos. Once I walked in, I discovered how cool it was inside and told my husband to park the truck and bring the kids inside. Super good coffee. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Then discovered a super cool environment where you can get tons of different beers on tap in a serve yourself situation, my husband opted for that. They have one of my absolute favorite drinks, prickly pear cider. So good. When we're in town we will be making this a stop every time. Also if you're in need of a hair cut you can do that too! Great music as well.

Went here with a friend for a cup of coffee (that being said, I'm more of a tea person) and found this place warm and welcoming. Everyone was nice, ordering was straightforward and it was easy to get to. The place was clean and wifi was pretty good to use. I ended up getting a cup of earl grey which was a nice and strong. It is a little pricey with close to $5 for a cup of leaf water, however I feel you are also paying for a nice clean and rustic charm to bask in which I feel this place delivers on well.

Good choice for coffee and a muffin. I like my coffee super hot and they don't have a microwave to make it any hotter. They have a seating area in front of the coffee section or grab a table top in the tavern area or dit outside by the creek or a firepit. Parking is limited. Great atmosphere.

Quite possibly the best latte I've ever had. So creamy, presentation was fabulous, and perfect temperature, and....wait for it...served in a real mug! Not forced to use a paper cup! The service was top notch, pricing was lower than expected, and great atmosphere to get work done as well. There's music, but the volume is conducive to having a conversation. Pretty cool collective set up too. Not sure who owns the barber shop in the building, but that place was slammed. Can't wait to come back!

Visiting from San Diego & love my latte in the morning. Merchant Coffee does not disappoint. Clean, great coffee, lots of comfy seating choices. Visiting is a chance to enjoy the masculine, cozy vibe of Founding Fathers Collective. Side note they also have great areas for private parties, such as their spacious patio with views of nature.

My maple latte was amazing and the woman working was very personable. She made recommendations and even remembered us when we returned. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Prescott!

Excellent espresso. Ordered a cappuccino and it was perfect. Nice young hip baristas. Almost made the mistake of going to the downtown tourist coffee place, but aborted when I saw the giant candy case. Phew. And you can also get a micro brew here, if that's more your speed. Nice back patio and cool vibe. Something for everyone!
