I was really excited to try this place out but didn't get around to it for months. I can't speak for their breakfast or lunch type menu but I got three of their pastries hoping that they would be excellent. A cookie, a muffin, and a chocolate almond coconut croissant. Sad sad quality. Definitely not baked that day and tasted like something I could find at the Safeway or Fry's bakery. Not sure if I'll come back and chance their meals but I definitely won't be stopping in for any of their bakery items.

Used to love the Olde World Bakery so we thought we would try the Gypsy Bakery to see if it had changed much.I know this is a new business and I was prepared to cut them a little slack knowing that they would need a bit of time to iron out any kinks in their process.I ordered a turkey sandwich on sourdough whole wheat and my friend ordered a panini and soup. The panini and soup were very good although we noticed that there wasn't much meat on it.As with the panini, the turkey sandwich didn't have much meat and the meat was like grocery store deli meat. Totally unremarkable. It was OK however, the sourdough whole wheat bread was stale and crumbling, it was difficult to pick it up without it falling apart. Very disappointing since the previous owner made excellent whole wheat sourdough bread. All in all, we will probably not go there for a while and try it again after they get it together.

The Italian sourdough bread I've loved for a long time went up $3 with the new owner for "higher quality ingredients." and the shape changed and is a very dry bread now. Won't be back. I'm sad my favorite bread is ruined.

⚠️Since new owner/manager, Alyssa ?, has taken over this formerly excellent premises, I would suggest that the great reputation its previous owner, Daniel Pacheco, had established for warm welcomes and courteous customer relations must now, alas, be regarded as a culture no longer in evidence at the current Olde World Bakery -> abandoned, it seems, in the pursuit of a more officious, authoritarian "my way or the highway" attitude that no longer deems its prior customers' subjective points of view worthy of consideration.I write this review reluctantly, but out of necessity, so that it may serve as a cautionary tale to anyone  hoping, henceforth, to be greeted with a smile and, perhaps, a reasonable soupcon of bonhomie, to boot, at the new Olde World Bakery. An account of the experience that has prompted me to write this particular statement of opinion is laid out below:…having, in the fairly recent past, enjoyed the benefit of being able to purchase day-old patisserie items generously offered at a reduced price from Daniel P's Olde World Bakery, my wife and I dropped by last Friday morning to see what, if any, might be available. Not finding any such pastries in their usual area near the door, I duly enquired of the person standing behind the counter, who as it transpired was the owner/manager, Alyssa, whether such items might now be found elsewhere. She immediately became strangely and inexplicably defensive at my question…and in a very condescending manner, decreed that no such gestures of generosity were any longer forthcoming, haughtily stating, in no uncertain terms, when I politely invited her to explain, that providing such products would undoubtedly undermine the high standards to which her establishment was endeavoring to aspire, thus tarnishing its reputation for quality. I politely suggested that her explanation for this policy seemed to imply that similar places that offered this kind option, like Wild Iris, and other places too, were somewhat inferior to her own. I went on to suggest that in effect this exclusive stance might very likely be potentially disqualifying any less affluent customers from making a purchase, those who might happen to come in wishing to sample and savor some of the comestibles she might have on offer on a particular day. She was clearly unmoved by this observation and staunchly determined to preserve her strict adherence to the policy she had elected to put in place.Meanwhile, a few moments before this comparatively lighthearted (at this juncture) dispute ensued, my wife had decided to utilize the restroom; espying this, and perhaps viewing us as possible vagrants, Alyssa opted to select this precise moment to inform me, in an extremely scolding tone, that her restroom facilities were reserved for customers only. Though, in itself, a very reasonable regulation, I was somewhat taken aback by the disproportionate and unnecessarily abrasive and patronizing tone of the admonishment she had deemed it necessary to deliver, and endeavoring to defuse the undercurrent of tension by joking that had she supplied day old produce, then we would ipso facto, be customers, she was clearly not amused, nor appeased by my ironic jest, and as my wife and I departed, she couldn't resist the opportunity to hurl at our backs a sneering, spiteful, and distinctly passive aggressive, "have a nice day now" dismissal, clearly designed to ensure she had claimed the last word in what was ultimately an unresolved interaction. As a rule, in reasonable circumstances, I would take any issues akin to this directly to the management, before resorting to the scribing of a public review, to allow a manager to address my grievances personally, but since I tried my best to do this at the time of our visit, without any satisfactory resolution being acquired, it seems this review is thus deemed appropriate in this situation ⚠️

The staff here are incredibly nice. My friend and I walked in 2 mins to closing and they still took our order and made us sandwiches. The cashier also gave us a free chocolate chip cookie. Thay they even heated. It was oozing chocolate! . We ate our sandwiches out on the back porch which had a beautiful deck. It was perfect and the sandwiches were delicious. Generous portion size . Then the baker was bused our table and even waited to let me use the bathroom before locking up. This place is embodies excellent kind customer service- clearly the staff is happy here. And their bakery case looked fantastic.

I think they have the best muffins in town. The most bang for your buck with their muffins. The place is quiet comfortable seating it's a real jewel.

Went in for a coffee, as the first place we tried to go to was not open on time, the coffee was good, extremely hot. Ordered a breakfast burrito that took about 15 minutes to come out. The burrito was good but took way too long to come out. They did apologize and said the stove was not hot yet, but shouldn't that be the first thing you turn on when you get in the morning if it takes that long to heat up!

I loved this Bakery!! I'm so sad they closed. The new bakery that opened in its place, Gypsy does not use as good of ingredients and the food does not taste as good at all. Very disappointed!!!!

The food is delicious, but one of the chefs had hair in his face, which he kept pushing back with his bare hands, as he prepared food items, with his bare hands.....maybe a cap would help? And a $5 charge is added, if paying with a credit card ?

Grilled cheese sandwich was decent. Place is really cute! Loved the live music on Saturday! Had the Mexican corn soup as well and that was spectacular flavor!

Olde World Bakery is Prescott’s hidden gem. Their food is some of the best in town. Spinach & feta croissants melt in your mouth. The muffins, cinnamon rolls, soups, cookies & bread taste like they’re prepared in a European bakery. They are tucked in off of Goodwin, (Firehouse Square) not visible from the town square & therefore don’t get the foot traffic they deserve. They do have an outdoor patio. The owner works very hard to make high quality baked goods. Stop by to say hi & support this small town business!

Sandwiches are big & could b easily shared. Has a deck you can eat on or inside if you preferMy tuna salad was good but, my whole wheat bread was stale around edges. My husband liked his chicken salad but I was not fond of the spice that was in it(Maybe tarragon?)
