We have been patrons of Ajo Al's for over 20 years, introduced many friends and have always enjoyed our visits. For me it has a great sentimental value as it was also my parents favorite restaurant.

We had a delicious meal with excellent, prompt, friendly, and courteous service. We had the Huevos de Machaca & Huevos de Chorizo, both were very good & both meats were of high quality, it was the first time ever trying these.

The food was delivered quickly and hot. The food as usual is very tasty. My husband always orders the same thing (chicken chimi) but I am not afraid to try new things as I am confident that it will be great!

I came in for an order to-go. The young man host was very cheerful, helpful, and assured me the order would be accurate. The lady working the bar was so calm and helpful, too. The tortilla chips at Ajo Al's are so thin and yummy. I think the salsa is too tomato-ey and needs more cilantro, The shredded beef enchiladas with green sauce are my fave. Seriously WOW. Unfortuantely, the rice and beans I ordered without cheese had cheese on them, so my son who has to eliminate all dairy could not eat them. This was such a huge disappointment, but John the GM was apologetic and made sure to take care of this matter. In the past, I had street tacos (made with 2 corn tortillas per taco)with carnitas. It was a bit pricey for the small amount of carnitas meat that was on each, so I will not order this again.
The salsa was fabulous! Has chicken fajitas and the chicken, peppers, and tortillas were really good! Service was fast and friendly and place was clean and a fun atmosphere.

Sitting here waiting ten minutes for anyone to greet us after the host sat us. Counted 6 employees walk by. Manager in the blue shirt just sitting catching up with the bartender. No chips or water :( table next to us also complaining no service.

Im a 5th generation Phoenician currently living in Northern California. My daughter, granddaughter and I were staying in Scottsdale for a family reunion and we wanted to eat the kind of Mexican food I grew up on...Wow, we finally located a Mexican Restaurant that not only had all my favorites but the food tasted great too. My go-to's, if I can find them are Sopapillas, Cheese Crisps, Bean Burros smothered in a tasty dark red sauce or green chile, and yummy Fried Ice Cream.. Scottsdale Al 's had them all! The Skinny Margarita was very tasty, too! So strong that one was all I could handle. yay!!Our server gave exceptional service, too. Wish they were located in Fair Oaks, CA. The trip was in 8/2021.
