We shared a beautiful anniversary dinner at the famous Cafe Monarch. The setting is perfect, tucked away in old Town Scottsdale. There is a beautiful courtyard and the inside is romantic, all lit with candles. The staff was very accommodating and knew a lot about the food and drinks. We had the four course tasting menu which was more than enough food. We liked the appetizers, had the crudo and the shrimp course. Our favorite was the main course of Chilean sea bass and NY strip steak, both were cooked really well, were big portions, and what you would expect from an upscale fine dining restaurant. Great spot for a birthday or anniversary dinner!Parking: Recommend the valet service

My husband and I celebrated our 20th Wedding Anniversary. The first thing I want to say is how awesome it was to see an anniversary message on our own menu, what a special touch. The ambiance was beautiful and very very romantic. The staff was kind and answered all of our questions. They offer a 4-course and 8-course menu. The menu is pricey but oh so WORTH IT! We went with the 8 course chef tasting menu. I highly recommend this. They bring you a little of everything! The dishes are presented and explained. The food was OUTSTANDING! This was an experience we will never forget! Thank you Cafe Monarch for the beautiful meal, delicious wine, personal message, wonderful staff, and gorgeous venue. A lovely restaurant with such friendly staff and a historic atmosphere. It seems like a great place to meet new people and for gatherings. I was sitting up at the bar grabbing dinner one evening, as a last minute decision without a reservation, and a kind man offered to let me sit at their table so I wouldn’t have to eat alone so late In the night. The servers were smooth, the food was just as expected, and the bartender created a safe environment.

We absolutely LOVED our experience at Cafe Monarch. We were there for our 2-year wedding anniversary and we couldn't have been made to feel more special. From the service to the food & wine, everything was top notch. The heated patio was beautiful and the fireplace made it so cozy. We were there on a Monday, so the patio wasn't overly busy or loud, which was perfect for us. Thank you for an unforgettable evening, Cafe Monarch team. We will be back!
