I purchased a couple of boxes of cookies as well as Challah Rolls. I was invited to dinner and was excited to bring something nice. I was mortified when the host took out the rolls and they were molded!! The date was not expired. I will not be purchasing anything from here again!

Being from the East Coast, I can always appreciate good deli food. Every now and again I crave a good old-fashioned East Coast fish fry specifically anything from Buffalo or like buffalo New York. Yes there are many choices in the Phoenix area but I'm always looking for that special place. I decided to try chompies fish fry this past Friday. I don't know if this is just an Easter thing or if it's available year-round but I need to say it was absolutely delicious. I ordered online and picked it up to go. I even reheated it today for my dinner. It had three good size chunks of batter, fried cod, a very large portion of fresh potato wedges, fried a good size cup of delicious coleslaw, and it really was good because I don't like onions in my coleslaw. This was excellent.but it doesn't have to end with the fish fry. Anything I've had in there in the past or present is always well prepared and healthy portions. I absolutely love their bagels and bagel sandwiches. You can't go wrong with anything you order. I called ahead to place my order though now I can order online and went to pick it up. I didn't have to wait long in line even though it was the Easter holiday weekend. The place is always hopping and the stuff is always pleasant.

Food tasted like absolute CHEEKS. Went here for my daughter's 5th birthday, my soup tastes like fish water and my chicken was dryer than the Sahara. My pickles were dirty mushy, and squishy, came in a tray with old food from other people. The restaurant was so disgusting and dirty there were crumbs all over my table and the floor, the manager was very fat so I could tell only he enjoys the food here. I WILL NOT, be coming back!!!!!!!

Edit: As I am waiting for police the rather large woman again approached me to leave stating she was definitely not giving me food or money back because she doesn't like me, she also said if only she wasn't inside the building she would take care of me (all while clenching and unclenching her fists) This woman clearly should not be working around any people, she is terrifying. Police showed up, Chompies will not refund money, it is now a civil matter and we will definitely be taking this up with our bank or legally. Chompies are thieves and bullies, just the most horrible experience ever. Also to add we used to frequent this location, never saw these horrible people before.Deserves way less than zero stars. Placed an online order for $77, drove 30 minutes to get it and 30 minutes home. Got home to find not one thing in our order was ours, maybe $20 worth of food. Called the restaurant so they could remake the order to be ready when I came back I spoke to an illitetrate woman who took forever to retake the order. When I finally got to chompies I was greeted by a very rude man that grabbed my receipt from my hand and looked through the food as though I was lying. I told him what an inconvenienve this was, because it was. He got irate and told me to be quiet or leave and he would give me nothing. I told him to refund my money, I would be happy to leave and never come back, he told me NO! He said I messed with the wrong person. He walked away from me and a large woman came and demanded I leave without a refund or food because she didn't like my attitude. I demanded a refund and was again denied and threatened if I didn't leave they would physically remove meI called police and am currently waiting for them. For context, I lam 5'1" and 60 years old. The man is at least 5'10" and the woman is taller. This is out of control and these people are dangerous.

I used to love Chompies. I have been going there for years. The food has gotten very hit and miss, the portions have gotten smaller and our server was terrible. I hate to say it but I am done going there. I really wish things had not changed as it was one of my favorite places.Update March 19,2024 - Another bad experience at Chompies. The Pastrami was inedible as it was 1/2 fat. The other issue was I went to the bathroom and there was no soap. I figured it was an oversight but when I told the hostess, her response was "oh we haven't had soap in the men's room for a week". Unacceptable!I am done with Chompies. Very unfortunate as I used to love it.

Clerk didn't understand my order very well. Gave me wrong type bagel but I was already on freeway. So didn't go back. Darn, just didn't taste like I wanted.
The food was cold and nasty, the servers were disrespectful and rude. I have never dealt with people so ugly hearted. I would NEVER recommend bringing your family here.

Worked with Brian and his staff to arrange a Sun morning brunch for 15. Not quite big enough for catering, but to large to call in for pickup. He was responsive, eager to help, and reliable. Helped arrange delivery by Zoom service. Although we had to increase order at the last minute, he and his staff delivered on time and accurately. Highly recommend. I plan to use again needed. when
