I had high expectations for a new Roman spot that served steambuns. To say the least it was disappointing. There were 3 employees working at the front, it took over 20 minutes to prepare 3 steamed buns with all ingredients already cooked. The girls that were working although nice moved at turtle speed. As one of the girls was in the middle of finally preparing my order she stopped to help a customer. The other 2 employees just decided to disappear and leave her on her own. The actual food is okay. Feel free to have your own experience. I personally would not come back.

Clever Ramen is always our go-to when we want a comforting flavorful bowl of ramen. If you enjoy ramen you cannot go wrong here. Absolutely delicious and we always leave satisfied. Also, the ambience is so comfortable with relaxing lighting and spaciousness. Nick, the owner, is also one of the most personable, kind, and funny people we’ve met and makes the effort to check in on tables asking them how they are doing and if there’s anything else he can get or do for them. If you’re in the area and love this cuisine, it’s truly a MUST to stop by at Clever Ramen for lunch or dinner.
After landing in Phoenix and travelling about 15 mins into town, I stumbled upon clever ramen. I figured, why not. I placed my order, and did a few add ons. Once my food came out, I discovered the outlet outside was not working. My food came, and I had to relocate inside. Once I was inside , I noticed that the noodles were wrong. I got back up and shared this information, it was corrected. Just a bit of a workout to get some food.

First time coming here and it wasn't too bad. We both had the pork ramen and shared a bao bun trio.The ramen was packed with flavor and the bao buns were also good. The only complaint would be the pork in the bao bun was quite dry and they tried to compensate for that with a lot of sauce. Other than that, we had a good first experience and would come back if we find ourselves in the area again.

I went to order my favorite thing from this restaurant (Katsu Ramen bowl) Just to find out, it was removed from all online ordering platforms.When I called and inquired if I could place an order over the phone I was informed that clever Ramen does not accept phone orders.When I pressed on and asked how I could order this since I wasn’t going to be the one picking it up and my buddy was going to grab it on the way home I was informed there would be no other option that I would have to come into the store in order. Unfortunately, for me, this is not an option.I asked for the general managers/manageds contact information so I could email them to ask if this was going to come back to the menu and I was provided an email that is not active and was returned.I’m very sad and disappointed in this, and I really hope that clever Ramen reconsiders adding this to their menu. I’m a weekly customer and I would happily continue to If they brought this back or offered me an option to order online/over the phone! I enjoy this blissful dish, However, I am disappointed by the service I received today.

We tried the fries, the chicken Ramen, and the soft shell crab bun, and the pork and chicken buns.The ingredients are fresh and delicious! The homemade pickles on our Buns, WOW.Each bun was delicious in it's own special way.The buns were soft and fluffyThe protein on each bunch was cooked to perfection.The fries were spicy and deliciousThe Ramen was great, we would have loved more mushrooms but we always want more mushrooms.I am so excited to come back again!
