Stale chips / stale service/ awful service, actually and this was it for me .. we don't need to come back. Sadly, we liked Hacienda's during the pandemic and ordered from them frequently but the lady working here a few weeks ago is the most miserable looking human and moreover, she seems to hate everyone she has to wait on; which begs the question.. is this place fronting for something else ?? Her male co-workers , one who seemed to be a manager , and who warmly greeted and sat us didn't seem to care that she was a salty Sally after we were sat. She barely gave us a moment to look at the menus ; gave us her hands all over our drinks - they were wet! Disgusting! The chips , stale and almost seemed as tho they had been tossed in from another batch. There was a guy mopping the floor and yet they had two plus hours before closing and mind you, it's pretty gross when someone is mopping and you are trying to enjoy dinner. The main part of the dining area was closed off with other chairs , ( awesome look !) , so we sat in the bar so we could watch servers use a wet cloth to wipe the bar etc and then use the same un- gloved hands to serve drinks -- my stomach is turned forever from this place. The food was meh ; they were out of a shrimp app my daughter ordered so she didn't take the side off the bill that was to have gone with that shrimp and instead charged us for it.. OH and the best part, she over heard me tell my husband we don't need to come back to this place so she brought a point of sale machine and rang the bill and wanted the tip .. the tip is : change your attitude and hygiene practices or you won't be in business in N Scottsdale long. Bye salty Sally. Something has gone very wrong in this place .. and it's unfortunate you survived a whole pandemic to come out like this.

Because we live nearby, my husband and I have tried this restaurant more than a few times over the course of many years. Each time,hoping, it will improve and each time, we are extremely disappointed, vowing never to go back. The last time WAS the LAST time. It was horrible, the drinks, the food, the service…all bad. I’m not sure what keeps this restaurant open but I think they need a new chef ASAP.

We found Hacienda's during the pandemic and would order pans of enchiladas for pickup for the family since dining rooms were pretty much closed at the time. The takeout stuff was good Once things started to open back up we dined in 3 or 4 times and never saw more than 2 or 3 other tables of people in their huge dining room and bar. On this last trip I think I figured out why. We stopped in on a Sunday evening around 7:00 for dinner. Their sign said they were open till 9, but it was not obvious from outside that they were open at all. We actually thought they were closed until I tried the door. Perhaps 2 other tables of people were in the restaurant. This time around, food was good, but service was terrible. Our server was visibly annoyed by the fact that it took us more than 2 minutes to figure out what we wanted to order, and she did not attempt to hide her aggravation at all. She rushed us through ordering, rushed our food out and then ignored us while having a long conversation with other employees across the bar. That combined that my wife did not like her flautas. The server did not stop by our table again until my wife was so frustrated she asked me to just get the check and to-go boxes so we could leave. This appeared to be music to the servers ears because she brought a box and the credit card machine right to our table and cashed us out immediately. We were out the door by about 7:45pm and I'm certain they locked up behind us. The moment we left my wife exclaimed "scratch that one from the list". Which is too bad, because there aren't many good Mexican options in North Scottsdale.

We have eaten here many times and we have never had bad service or bad food. It has been a while since we visited. Seems like all restaurants are cutting back on their portions and service,but I was very surprised that there was no charge for the chips and salsa. She kept bringing more. The portions were good, the margaritas were served in the nice big margarita glasses and they were delicious! The server was very pleasant and took great care of us! I would not hesitate to visit again.

This place is disgusting. I'm surprised that they are still in business. My neighbor and I sat at the bar. All the staff were friendly and capable. The reason for the low rating is the bartender had her disgusting worn down five inch heels and her purse on the counter where drinks were being made. Everyone knows how disgusting the bottom of a purse is. All sorts of bacteria. I got her attention and mentioned it. She said, "I know, I was ask to come in and cover this shift and I just didn't have time to but my things in the back. I haven't even had time to wash my hands". She was telling me this like as a customer I was suppose to understand her predicament. She never caught the hint and never removed her shoes and purse.

We had a great dining experience at Hacienda. I had the pork carnitas and they were made exactly how I like them. Not too dry and seasoned well! Portions in my opinion were decent and drinks were well made with a good amount of alcohol. Service was also excellent, waitress checked on us a few times! Gave them 4 stars instead of 5 because the restaurant itself can use a little updating. Women’s bathroom had a funky smell and booth seats had wear and tear…including some colored duct tape to keep leather seat in place. If you haven’t been here in awhile, go give them another try!

We spent a half hour at least and never got our food. The place was somewhat busy for Cinco De Mayo and the hostess suggested we sit in the sunny outdoor seating that no one wanted to get quicker service. There also was a special menu for this night which means a lot of the selections were pre-prepared. A table of 2 and a table of 5 came in 10 to 15 minutes after us a got their food. The waiter stopped by twice to tell us our food was on the way. We asked twice to get just guac and chips but the waiter couldn't even do that. After the half hour at least we had enough and told the manager?/hostess we were walking out. They offered a third time to see where our food was but we were too frustrated and left. We have eaten here before and had spotty service but the food was good. I don't ever want to go back now so I need to find another Mexican place. I guess we are driving down the street. Very disappointed.

My visiting family wanted Mexican. Now, we would usually go further but this was to be take-out. The first problem was that my Carnitas burrito came as an Asada Burrito. So, I called and told them I was bringing it back for an exchange. I shouldn't have done that. By waiting, I would have learned that the other assorted orders were unanimously judged as "not very good" to "terrible". I returned home after the others had finished and dug into my Carnitas burrito. Two-thirds of it are now in the garbage. Awful. We would have been much, much better off by driving down to Chipotle. And we would have saved money. I guess there was a reason none of our neighbors had never recommended Haciendas.....

What jerks! We ordered food for pickup and the person answering the phone could not have been more rude and impolite stating "we don't make money off you....???" WHAT??? And, that we have to recook your food if you don't pick it up on time? What the heck kind of place is this that verbally abuses customers on the phone for pick up order? This was the first time we ordered from them and I can tell you for a fact, it will be the LAST time we ever order from them and certainly will recommend anyone AGAINST going there with that level of ugly service.

I paid $15 for table side guacamole and they served me the plain guacamole that tastes like nothing. When I said this isn’t right their response was ”Don’t come here anymore”. We used to come here a lot and we will never come back. Very rude and dishonest.
