I wish I could remember our waitress's name (she has to be the youngest person on the staff), but she was such a kind and understanding person!!! My wife asked if they had a vegetarian/vegan menu and without hesitation, she checked with the chef and BOTH happily gave her one! Awesome night and the service was attentive in a BUSYYY day! Thank you La Locanda and our waitress! We had our best V Day ever here and we'll never forget it :)

Went for Valentine's Day and got the worst experience ever. Certainly not romantic. Couldn't choose from the main menu. Had a chicken Parmesan and it was cold on the inside and they way both dishes were plated, it looked like it came from a Denny's. The place has changed from original location on Scottsdale and Gold Dust. It used to be our favorite place. Now, sadly, won't ever go there again.

Always good service, good food and good music on Thursdays (Nuance Jazz with Jackie Lopez.) guests fully enjoyed their dishes: Ravioli Quattro Formaggi, Beet salad with excellent goat cheese and beautiful plating, Risotto Porcini and grilled eggplant and zucchini with balsamic sauce. Thanks to the team at LaLocanda!

1st time visitors..Started with Bruschetta and Calamari, both were done traditional Italian fashion, and very good....Then we All had Osso Buco and all agreed the BEST Osso Buco we have eaten!! Service by Michelle was outstanding and the Chef/owner stopped by to say hello. Finished off the meal with a Limoncello which was a great way to finish an outstanding meal and evening...We will Definitely be coming back soon !!

Sweet new restaurant in old town that now serves breakfast as well. I had lunch on the patio which was lovely. I had the Chicken Pesto Sandwich. The chicken was moist and perfect, the bread was fresh as well, and the french fries were hot and crispy. The owners and staff and very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend.Parking: Even when the tourists are in town and old town is busy, one can easily find parking in old town.

Not good at all. Meatballs look and tastes like frozen. I know that flavor and do not like frozen meatballs. For a place in Scottsdale, I thought the food would be authentic but nooooo. My daughter ordered a chicken wrap and it contained a reheated frozen fried chicken patty. Great waitress - very sweet. Not her fault

It's hard to find a restaurant where one can hear guests if you have a party larger than 2. The music was at the proper level to contribute to the ambiance but didn't interfere with conversations. The appetizer was out quickly. Dinner was done properly. I had salmon picatta as it had tomatoes that could easily be removed. The dessert of panna cotta was delicious and not too sweet. The price was quite reasonable considering the quality of food and being old town Scottsdale. We plan on coming back soon.

I've never written a bad review but this was the single worst food experience I can recall having. Terrible, bland, cold food. Rude and arrogant server. Not worth even one tenth of the price they charged.

Headline: Surpringly Poor----The Good:The menu options, environment, parking, lain, traffic & decor was decent but below par for the area. I'll consider it good because this place has potential.----The Bad:The items served in my images were fairly bland. The red noodles & parm was acceptable, but everything else was disappointing including the dessert. Service was slow, but the place was dead so only 1 waiter was observed.----The Ugly:ProTip: If you are going to charge $25-50/plate, $12-16 for a salad the size of half a grapefruit or a 6oz drink, consider using quality ingredients. The astonishingly large plates overshadowed the underwhelming entrees. Aside from WILDLY overpriced, the response to disliking the dessert was impressively rude. Next time a patron who expresses early in the dialog is writing a review, so not LAUGH when I ask to return an item as if I was the one in the wrong for disliking a 99 cent daily- based jello box product. I am mostly overlooking the past where I was over-charged $16 since it was corrected.Tl;dl: Try Franco's next door. There is a reason this place had only 4 reservations on a Saturday evening and was dead (no customer would dare return).
