I wish I could remember our waitress's name (she has to be the youngest person on the staff), but she was such a kind and understanding person!!! My wife asked if they had a vegetarian/vegan menu and without hesitation, she checked with the chef and BOTH happily gave her one! Awesome night and the service was attentive in a BUSYYY day! Thank you La Locanda and our waitress! We had our best V Day ever here and we'll never forget it :)

Went for Valentine's Day and got the worst experience ever. Certainly not romantic. Couldn't choose from the main menu. Had a chicken Parmesan and it was cold on the inside and they way both dishes were plated, it looked like it came from a Denny's. The place has changed from original location on Scottsdale and Gold Dust. It used to be our favorite place. Now, sadly, won't ever go there again.

Always good service, good food and good music on Thursdays (Nuance Jazz with Jackie Lopez.) guests fully enjoyed their dishes: Ravioli Quattro Formaggi, Beet salad with excellent goat cheese and beautiful plating, Risotto Porcini and grilled eggplant and zucchini with balsamic sauce. Thanks to the team at LaLocanda!

1st time visitors..Started with Bruschetta and Calamari, both were done traditional Italian fashion, and very good....Then we All had Osso Buco and all agreed the BEST Osso Buco we have eaten!! Service by Michelle was outstanding and the Chef/owner stopped by to say hello. Finished off the meal with a Limoncello which was a great way to finish an outstanding meal and evening...We will Definitely be coming back soon !!

This is the best Italian food I've ever had. Service was great. Ambiance encourages conversation at the table. Perfect place to bring family, friends, or dates.

I love going to this restaurant because I always get the best service and the most amazing food! I brought a friend that had never been there before and now I know she will go back because it was so good! thank you for making my birthday dinner great as always! can't wait to go back!

The food isn't all that bad, but again, not that great. Considering the prices and the average ambiance, I cannot really say that it deserves any higher than a 3 star rating. Beyond that, my son and Ind I went there on New Year's Eve and were never told before we sat down that it was a fixed menu. Skimpy salad, small main course, I had halibut and my son had filet, and a really big skimp on the veggie and carb. A piece of what I think was Cosco cheese cake for desert. Won't be going back.

This place is gross. Food is frozen and thawed out. Calamari was flavorless and rubbery, meatballs were frozen, bread had been reheated, and was very tough. Chicken Caesar wrap had a chopped up frozen chicken patty. Not worth the price.

I've never written a bad review but this was the single worst food experience I can recall having. Terrible, bland, cold food. Rude and arrogant server. Not worth even one tenth of the price they charged.

We came to Scottsdale for the Scottsdazzle Stroll and decided to have dinner before that began with friends of ours. They chose this restaurant. I just had an appetizer, which was very good & simple. My husband ordered the pappadelle pasta with a meat sauce, which he said he enjoyed and would come back for this dish! One friend had the scallops risotto, which looked great & she said she enjoyed it. Why did I give this place 3 stars? My other friend ordered chicken parmigiana. It was served with mashed potatoes & the mozzarella on the chicken looked like it was 2 slices of white American cheese melted on there. He couldn't eat much of his plate. We are use to pasta with chicken parm. The waiter never asked what he wanted for a side & he was under the impression it would come with pasta. It simply was not that good. Staff was friendly and it was nice enough to sit outside on their patio. In addition, we did order garlic bread (apologies for no picture), but it wasn't good. I asked the waiter for regular bread and he told me, they don't have any. lol.

Hidden gem!! What a refreshing experience from the overrated restaurants in the more trafficked area of old town. Classy ambiance, incredible food and cocktails, and the service is always wonderful.

I have been to the restaurant several times last year. They is a reason that the restaurant was empty. The food is bland and has absolutely no flavor. The marinara sauce is like plain tomato sauce. Placing two slices of cheese on the chicken for chicken Parmesan is like a bad Staufers frozen dinner. It was awful. The gelato was the only thing that tasted good. My white wine was cold. Probably one of the worst dinners I have ever had.

A wonderful Italian restaurant tucked in the 5th Avenue shops. Food was wonderful. Staff was friendly, polite and helpful. Authentic Italian and simply delicious. We had fried calimari appetizer and it was cooked to perfection. Due to a recent dental procedure, I needed something soft for my entree, so I went with the gnocci in a tomato cream sauce. Generally, I don't even like gnocchi very much, but I LOVED this gnocchi. It was light (for gnocchi) and flavorful and the sauce was excellent. So very very good! Hubby had Osso Buco and it was perfect, falling off the bone tender, juicy and flavorful. Our son had the chicken marsala and thought it was fantastic as well. If you are looking for fancy pants decor, pompous bs menu descriptions and trendy vegetables eg "brocolini") this is not your place. But if you'd like authentic, delicious Italian dishes, great service in a comfortable, warm and inviting atmosphere, I highly recommend La Locanda on 5th.

Boo ya! Delicious Italian comfort food healed us when we were weak. The tomato bisque and pasta Alfredo hit the spot we didn’t even know was hurting. We came in weak. We left strong.
