Drivers Only: This is a Time Hostage Resturant Extreme Wait times I've literally drove 20mins to pick up an order and it was already only 2 items Waited in the car for 5mins just so I can give the benefit that it would be ready to pick up soon as I get there only to wait an additional 15mins on top of that the restaurant wasn't busy at all there was only a few customers already eating at the tables

We had a large event at this Macayos's and Jerad was wonderful to work with. Our servers, Felix and Richey were fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for an event as they will go above and beyond your expectations

Super fast service. Food is ok, meat has no flavor but everything tasted fine. Their Baja sauce is very good. I had a burrito which had a good sauce, but not much of it. Maybe it's just me but when i order a burrito it usually has more than just meat in it. Usually it's meat cheese rice beans as the basic with other specialty items if you want. The one I had was filled with plain meat, no sauce and dry. If that's what you like, then definitely this is your place.

This will be my last visit to this location. Went in last night at 5:15 with a party of four. My date and I arrived first. We asked the hostess for a table, and she pointed to a booth being cleaned and said "They're just cleaning that table and you'll be seated." (We are the only people waiting). A lady walks in after us and asks for a table of 6. Her party walks in after her in two groups. The hostess sees the table is clean, grabs some menus and....walks the table of 6 back to our booth. She walks back to her stand, and just stands there, doing nothing. We are literally 10 feet away, directly in her line of sight. I walk up and ask "Are we going to be seated? That was supposed to be our booth?" She stares at me and says "It depends if there are any tables or booths available." I ask her "Do you remember me? We walked in before that group of 6, you told us the booth was being cleaned and we'd be seated, and then you sat that group of 6." She just stared at me. It was funny, and a bit sad, but oh well. Then we were seated, told they've been out of green corn tamale bites for a few days (that's on the manager). Our waitress was the bartender, who did her best, but just had too much volume. We ordered 3 chimichangas, they all came out cooked completely differently, and the waitress never stopped by the rest of the meal. We were all out of water long before we were done eating. Food took about 25 minutes to come out.Obvious lack of management at this restaurant, and the entire experience was bizarre. I write this review in the hopes that this Macayo's is closed up and gone from this location before 2024 is over, although I don't think my review is necessary for that to happen. Macayo's was once a great restaurant chain (the Mesa location is still solid) but this place needs to drastically change, or close, and the reviews reflect that.

We recently visited Macayo's Mexican Food for Taco Tuesday, and unfortunately, it was an extremely unpleasant experience. Despite the place not being busy at all when we arrived around 7:45 pm, it took an excruciatingly long time for our waiter to visit with us and take our drink order. The wait for him to come back and take our food order felt like an eternity. After enduring what seemed like an eternity, our tacos finally arrived a 30 minutes later. Throughout the long wait, our waiter didn't bother to check on us or offer any updates on our order, leaving us feeling neglected and frustrated. When the tacos finally arrived, they were very disappointing—quite possibly the worst tacos we've ever had at Macayo's. Considering the lackluster quality of the meal, paying over $30 felt like a complete rip-off.At that point, we were already so fed up with the long wait and disappointing food that we didn't bother to complain. Regrettably, this experience has left a sour taste in our mouths, and we won't be returning to Macayo's in the future. There are plenty of other Mexican restaurants in the area that offer far superior food and service, making for a much more enjoyable experience overall.

Excellent food and bar service. We loved the ambiance. Happy hour is great. The margaritas are great as well.

We were tired and hungry and it's close to home. Lovely evening on the patio and restaurant was very quiet at 7pm. Server was extremely nice and helpful. Hubby enjoyed the berry margarita (asked for not too sweet). We loved the street corn and he had soup and taco combo (very good). I asked if the grilled fish could be on a salad instead of chicken and it was no problem! It was really pretty and quite good, too. This is our 3rd time eating there and it's been very good each time.

Worst food we have had in the week we have been in town. They seem to think that making everything so hot that all you do is burn your mouth..if you like hot do for it but I personally like to taste my food.

Surprised at reviews. Went on a Thursday night , not too busy. Food was served quick and hot, cocktails fairly priced and Texas Margarita was strong. Server was a nice guy, restaurant was clean.

Slow service, mediocre food at best. Ambiance was okay. Our server barely came by the table, we had to ask for refills a few times.

The people that work at this location are very friendly. The service is quick, but not overbearing. The margaritas are great and so is the food! I am from Tucson so I don't believe Macayo's invented the chimichanga, but I would still highly recommend this location!
