It’s just not the same!! The food quality has gone down tremendously, the prices have gone up. The service has gotten worse as well. Today we were both served our previously favorite dish (fried rice) with the rice and steak were both burnt to a crisp. Very disappointing experience. The fish dishes here remain good, so if you have to come here opt for the sushi. Be weary if you are on a time crunch as it may take a little while.

I have come here out of convenience and have been for many years, seeing through different owners. I wouldn’t necessarily go out of my way to eat here. I had a horrible ramen experience once where the ramen noodles were raw and inedible, so I have steered clear from the ramen since then, but I do LOVE the fact that they use black garlic oil in their ramen. I stick with the Baos, miso soup, rice and cocktails when I’m here.Their cocktails are great and they can accommodate virgin cocktails of their signature drinks. Happy Hour is my preferred time to come for sure since it’s not exactly the most inexpensive.I did think that their miso soup was too salty for my liking, so I added filtered water to dilute it. That’s just my preference because I prefer less savory.

I found this place accidentally via Google search for Ramen near me. Can I just say how amazing their ramen was?! I ordered the Obon Ramen. Wow! I am half Japanese and grew up with a mom who was a gourmet cook. I had even visited Japan a few times, so I am pretty hard pressed to find quality Japanese food. If Ramen is your thing, this is a must! They have a nice patio as well as indoor seating. The only comment I would make is that I was not presented with a happy hour menu during happy hour.

Came in for a Ramen! it was made perfectly, fresh, tasty, top notch. They had only 1 sort of wheat noodles, but it was amazing! My gluten free wife took it with rice.

1 tiny, dried up Pork Bun for $7.50... ridiculous (see pic). 1 bowl of pork ramen soup was good, but not $18.50 good. Maybe Scottsdale people don't care about value for money? Whatever. I tried it once; I will stick with more local style places. Also, what's up with the music so loud that everyone has to shout to be heard? It's not a club- chill out on the loud music.

Amazing food and a great atmosphere! Our server was Victoria and she was so knowledgeable about the menu items! She was so kind and patient! She stayed on top of our drinks and overall had such a great personality!
The food is very good and fresh! We had ordered bao bun, gyoza, sushi & ramen. All of the menu items are amazing, especially the ramen.

TLDR: Great location, Beautiful Interior, Awesome Service, and WOW food. OBON is on our short list of favorites eats in the Phoenix area.Last night my wife and I enjoyed a date night and was fortunate enough to try OBON. The location was great. We love this part of Scottsdale. The interior was beautiful with a warm and inviting design, just right for setting the proper atmosphere for our night. The waiter provided some of the best service we've had in a while and we appreciate his patience and attention to detail. He even shared where I could get the crispy garlic.Speaking of food... Wow! It was ? fantastic. Part of what made the food experience so great was the thoughtful pairings the main dishes came with. They have a slightly sweet sauce with a hint of heat for the wings, that I'd buy for home if I could. So try it out next time you go.Lastly the bartenders took great care of us. We decided to have mocktails last night and the bartender created a customer drink for us to enjoy.OBON is definitely a must repeat experience.

Over priced for the quality. I was expecting prices to be high because of the area and the look of the place but good quality did not match the prices.
