This is going to be one of my new "go to" places for good food at a good price. And with good service. As you can tell in the other reviews, it's a small place - maybe will seat 45. Its menu has a lot of variety, which is a nice thing. I was there on a Saturday night in March at about 6:30, and was able to get right in. It's more like a neighborhood restaurant than those you'll find closer to Scottsdale Road. It was a good find, and I appreciate the recommendation that a friend gave me.

Wow wow wow!! We just ate here for the first time and it was amazing! A number of our friends recommended it, and we're glad we did! Food and drink selection was great. Service was wonderful. It just moved to top 5 dinner spot on our list for South Scottsdale. My wife and I split the Dumplings(no mushrooms) and Stromboli Classic. The first was delicious and amazing, left us wanting 3 more plates. The second was great too. Left full but not stuffed. Will be back

I really wish I could write a review on the food at The Side Door, but I didn't get that far in the door before I was very rudely shoved out. I will start by saying that my parents ate there just a couple days before my experience and said that the food was good and reasonably priced, so I was excited to try it out. The also told me that while they were there, they noticed that a man was sitting in the restaurant with a small dog on his lap. I bring this up because I have a service dog that goes everywhere with me. As we (Myself, my service dog, my parents) walk into the Side Door, we are immediately met by a waitress that rudely says, "I can't serve you inside with the dog, please have a seat outside." To which I reply, "He is my service dog and required access by law." At this time I get out his service ID and show it to her, to which she says, "That's not a service dog, please sit outside." Keep in mind, I am holding my dog's service ID card out for her to read, inspect, show to her manager, whatever she needed to do to follow protocol, and she did none of it. She took it upon herself to make a judgement about me and about my dog, regardless of the identification and more importantly, the law. Of course, at this point I was not going to eat outside, instead we went to Duke's and ate there. I am not one to complain usually, and people have been telling me that I should report them, but instead, I will just never go there and I suggest that if you require a service animal, you should probably avoid it as well.

Lived in Scottsdale most of my long life and didn't know this little gem existed. Visited for the first time yesterday and were completely surprised and delighted with the find! Small and charming with excellent service and food! I do believe this is my new favorite place to unwind!

Had a late lunch here with friends and it was nice. Very small - the bartender is your waiter and busser and host. It was also nice and quiet with no blaring music or loud patrons. I had the Stromboli at the recommendation of the bartender and it was good. The beer was cold and the service was great. If you're in that neck of the woods and want a quiet unpretentious lunch go for it.

The food was incredible! Price was moderate to low. We went there we werea group of nine which kind of surprised them but they were very accommodating and Kelly was great at doing it all. We tried just about every thing on the menu and were not disappointed. The food was so good we will be back.

Service here isn't good. Two servers run the entire place. So if it's busy it's gonna be a long time to get your food. Really dark place too. Could work a little bit on the light. Food is solid though and my MIL absolutely loves the food. Came in tonight to get a Togo pepperoni pizza and I'm still here and it's been 50 min. They do share a kitchen with Uncle Sal's so like I said food takes absolutely forever.
