I was in Scottsdale with my family craving Mexican food. We decided to give this place a chance because it looked nice and was nearby. As soon as we walked in the hostess had an attitude with us. When she took us to our table and gave us the menus she gave us the menus with attitude and basically shoved them into our hands. The gluten free options are very very limited. Yes, they have a “gluten friendly” menu, but the options are still limited. I got the chicken tacos with corn tortillas, rice and a watermelon margarita. The chicken tacos were delicious and a safe food options for celiacs like myself, but the rice was not it. I told our server I was allergic to onions and there were still onions in the rice. Thankfully I caught that, stopped eating the rice and did not react badly, but that is a major allergen that was missed. The watermelon margarita was not that great either. It was chunky and sour. My family got chicken tacos, house margaritas and the birthday dessert as well and they thought the food was just okay. Overall, the food was half/half, food allergies were missed where it could’ve ended horribly if not caught, and it did not feel very welcoming. We will not be coming back here. I do not recommend to celiacs or people with food allergies due to the fact that it might be missed or forgotten. I completely understand that accidents happen, but food allergies are a very serious matter that can end horribly.Dietary restrictions: Not very cautious about food allergies. They do offer some options for gluten friendly restrictions.

Friggin delicious. Get the guacamole sol and corn as an app. Then order the carne asada burrito, grilled, smothered in pork carne verde. Get the slaw instead of rice. Top the burrito with the slaw, left over guac from the appetizer, and some of the salsa Fresca. You’re welcome.

Dinner was delicious, everything from the margaritas, apps (naked quac, elote, ceviche and chicken tortilla soup), the sol fajitas and the wagyu steak w shrimp, the sea salt caramel ganache dessert was delish! Would def recommend and will be back again!

Wow! Everytime I’ve been here this place does not disappoint. Came here on a Monday for lunch and had the quesadilla! One of the best I’ve had I a long time. The chips are fire, comes with salsa and like a bean sauce. OMG SO GOOD!! Portions are big and the food is reasonably priced! Of course got a margarita and it was also very delicious!

The atmosphere in this restaurant is great! As well as that, the food and the service was phenomenal! I have never tried anything like the shrimp chile relleno. It was so delicious and I'll be craving it from now on. Thank you, Jenna, for serving us!
Sol is my favorite Taco Tuesday location! The food and service is always outstanding. It's fabulous to be able to to sit outside or in depending on the weather. The Icebergs (or frozen beers) are a favorite every Tuesday.

We absolutely love Sol Mexican Cocina! The chips are so originial, they're like small fried tortillas with seasoning. The bean dip and salsa are amazingly flavorful. We ordered the guacamole, steak fajitas and Shrimp and Crabcakes from the brunch menu. The crabcakes had eggs benedict with hollondaise on top - this was SO CREATIVE! And the flavor profile absolutely sung to my tastebuds. The steak fajitas were scrumptious with the steak cooked tenderly and with a variety of fresh veggies. Sol is our favorite spot in the Scottsdale Quarter and we will be back again and again!

Service was very slow and we did not get through right order. The manager did come and apologized. He changed couple of our tacos. But still not what I was expecting from this restaurant.
The food, margs...all the flavor popping out of the fajitas soooo good. Daughter says crema in the quesadillas to die for! Also chips are so good...not like yucky triangle ones in bags....according to my son. Haha he also recommends the kids bean burro.
