Honestly, this is easily one of the top sushi places in AZ. We went here for the 1st time a couple of months ago after just moving to the area, and I was so wowed by their food. The food quality and flavors are top tier, and the staff is so friendly and helpful. Some of the "fried" sushi dishes are a bit bland (Las Vegas Roll for instance), but let's be honest most folks probably are going to sushi for fried foods. So technically it would be a 4.5 star review with that in mind. However, everything else is so great, you can't hold it against them. You'd be hard pressed to find many sushi places better than Sushi Sen in Arizona.

My recent visit to Sushi Sen left a lot to be desired. Despite arriving at 5:30 pm on a busy Saturday, we were ignored for five minutes while the staff prioritized online orders and I had to wait more than one hour for my order. The elderly lady at the front was rude and dismissive when we asked about the wait time.The service was consistently slow, and it seemed like they favored online orders over dine-in customers. They even made us wait until after happy hour time passes on purpose.Although the food was decent, the disrespectful treatment from the staff overshadowed any enjoyment. I won't be returning to Sushi Sen and would recommend avoiding it altogether.

Best sushi experience so far in Arizona coming from someone who lived in Japan for 15 years. I didn't try the uni but will next time. At $25 for two nigiri, it's a bit steep for me even though it's probably my favorite thing to eat. Toro roll was amazing! Natto, awesome as usual. Hot sake was great. We got the combination meals. Toro-don and cold ramen, Una-don and cold ramen. Both sets were amazing ? We'll be coming back again soon, but not soon enough. Looks to be all Japanese owned ??. Normally I get pictures but this time I missed out on a few dishes.
Food: Sushi rolls are expensive, but they are also delicious. Tonkatsu Ramen broth was great.Service: Average at best. Politely asked for a diet soda, finally was brought after third ask.Atmosphere: Me not remembering should tell you all you need to know.Sushi Sen (say it fast 3x) is all about the food.

Super fresh chirashi & authentic Japanese curry rice style. The curry rice especially reminds me of my homestay in Tokyo. These 2 are my usual go-to orders.

Don’t mind my photos - half way ate and remembered to take a picture because it was so good. Will be back - amazing and great quality sushi. Wagyu steak seared and toro pictured. Also do yourself a favor and order the seared scallop nigri - perfectly done. Sake selection was also great - Friday nights are busy so make sure to book ahead if you can :)
