Love the paella and can't go wrong with the flamenco dancers performing! Fun place to bring out of town guests.

I was so excited to have found and try out this restaurant on a recent trip to AZ. Let's start with the positives: Atmosphere and location are pristine. Huge and very well decorated restaurant with tons of potential and space. gazpacho and salad courses were fresh and tasted great. i liked the citrus and unexpected touches. We really appreciated the live Cubano music as it gave a wonderful romantic feel to our date night. Now the constructive feedback: Service was subpar..if you speak spanish it appeared you definitely had an advantage as the staff gravitated towards actively engaging with those patrons more than us. Waiter seemed "above" the basics of offering water, bread, checking on our drinks and meals. When we waved him down for service, he immediately blamed the floor staff. Paella was a complete let down--bland and lacking any real spanish spices. Honestly my guess is the original owners sold this place to non Spaniards as the food was not authentic at all. Sangria was also watered down and not authentic at all. Fix the dishes and this place will be back on track for the prices.

Travis is a phenomenal server. Food and wine list are 10/10. Ambiance and service are always impeccable. We come back every other week from Chandler because we crave the food.

We have been here a few times over the years and always had a nice time. Tonight was different. We had made a reservation about a week ago and when we did the hostess asked if it was a special occasion. We explained it was my wife's birthday. When we arrived we were given a fair to poor table outside, then no mention what so ever was made by the staff to recognize my wife. Why did the hostess even ask? When we ordered our drinks, I asked if they had sangria and the waitress said they did. She asked if we wanted two glasses or a pitcher, we thought a pitcher and got it. When the check arrived I almost fainted to see the pitcher was $65. What the hell did they use an entire bottle of very good wine. We also noticed the food prices were rather high. The service was good, but sadly I don't think we will go back.

It was a very good dinner and the wait staff was excellent. Yes, it is expensive, but it's Scottsdale so you know what you're getting. We bought the Chef's choice which included several plates. Spent around 200 with a 30 tip and four drinks. If you are looking to get stomach stuffed and a bit tipsy at a sub $100 bill, you'll probably be disappointed. This place is all about the taste. If you are looking to have a nice lil experience or take your significant other on a nice date with live music, this is a great time.I think the staff was the best part, I really did feel he tried his hardest to help us enjoy the time. For me, I am content with a Big Mac and conversation. For my date, she likes all the bougie stuff. Despite this, I'd say the cost was worth it for her happiness and the quality of the food. The music, nice area, food and amicable staff made it a very pleasant event. If you've got tons of disposable income, this could be a great spot for lunch, as they have lots of choices. If you are like me and just wanted to make a lady happy, it's a great spot for ambiance.

Honestly, as a Spaniard, I am very sad that there are restaurants in the world that are giving a completely distorted image of what our fantastic and unique gastronomy is. I can understand that they try to adapt the flavors to local tastes, but under no circumstances can we present dishes that in no way represent us as references at a gastronomic level. Rice blood sausage, without being rice, croquettes with sauces on top, paella with chorizo where they also use long jasmine-type rice and which, to make matters worse, was overcooked? Pickled anchovies that are nothing like the ones we make in Spain? Only the potato omelet was saved. A chorizo that looked like salami? I regret having to give only one star but as a Spaniard I deeply regret that something that is very far from being true is "sold" as Spanish food. Fantastic service and very nice place. And it certainly wasn't cheap.

Incredible dinner! 3 of us tried 7 different tapas, paella de pollo and 2 desserts. Every dish better than the last. Favorites were croquetas de jamon, octopus, shrimp/orange/olives, and the potatoes with cilantro aioli. The paella was the star. Tempranillo was excellent. Atmosphere was top notch, patio seating by the canal. Our server Jaime was fantastic. Thanks for a great memory of our stay in Scottsdale!

Atmosphere and tapas were great, but service and kitchen highly disappointed us. We sat around 6pm and ordered a few tapas for myself and the kids and a paella for my wife. The tapas came promptly and tasted very good. We ordered a second round of tapas. Nothing on the paella. After about 45 minutes since we ordered, a couple next to us that sat after us and also ordered a paella received theirs, we heard from our server the paella was almost ready. We ordered a few more tapas, though it was hard to get the attention of our server, there was that he continuous promise the paella would come in a few more minutes. After 1 hour and 10 minutes since we ordered my wife gave up and we canceled the ordered as asked for the check. Not sure if they lost the ordered, it was entered late, if the kitchen was prioritizing tapas, but in any case it ruined the experience and we had to stop by another restaurant so my wife could have dinner. We know properly preparing a paella takes time, but in no other restaurant ever we have seen it taking this long.

Amazing meal and atmosphere! So enjoyable to listen to live Cuban music outside with the lighting and heat lamps. We really enjoyed everything about our time at Tapas. The staff are professionals and know the exact right time you might ask for something. Delicious Paella!!! We look forward to bringing our family with us next time. This was an experience we look forward to having again. Thank you Amber for the recommendation!!Vegetarian options: Vegan Tapas and Vegetable Paella are incredible. Highly recommend the plantains desert as well.
