We were impressed by the professional and attentive service provided by our server. She checked in frequently, offering recommendations that turned out to be fantastic choices. Despite the slightly higher prices, the quality and presentation of the food exceeded our expectations. Every dish was a work of art, and the flavors were exceptional. While the prices may be on the higher side, the excellent food quality, presentation, and top-notch service make it worth every penny. Our experience was so delightful that we booked another visit before leaving. That's how much we loved it! For those seeking an exquisite dining experience with exceptional food and service, UCHI in Scottsdale is a must-visit.

Food was incredible. Normally when eating vegan at a nicer restaurant I'll pay $50-&100 for some type of under-seasoned vegetables but the options here are great! I had the Mapo Dofu and Kinoko Nabe, both of which were insanely good. My boyfriend also really enjoyed the quail and nigiri but the overall winner was the Kinoko Nabe. Our server, Christine, was wonderful! She answered all of our questions perfectly, was very knowledgeable of the menu as well as common dietary restrictions and gave great recommendations- would 100% ask to sit in her section again! Ambiance was also beautiful, great attention to detail.

They are busy on the weekend! Reservations are highly recommended. We went early for the happy hour and the bar area is open seating. They have so many staff and some food items came fast and some are not. We got to see different servers bringing food to us. This place is so lively, and full of energy. The handrolls, hamachi yellowtail and sake salmon, both are really good. There are other ingredients in the rolls and the dipping sauces that are interesting but enjoyable and go well together. It seem like many items on the menu have some Thai-inspired, like cilantro oil, coconut shrimp, and coconut tapioca.

Excellent quality sushi and cocktails. All desserts are excellent as well. Have been 2 times and happy to return, this is in my top 2 for AZ sushi.

So once in a while I like to take a spontaneous trip - this one happened to be in Scottsdale and while looking around I came across a restaurant that has been on my hit list ever since I was out in Texas but couldn't get a reservation (it was a weekend and reservations were nearly impossible to get at the time). Ever since then Uchi has been the one that got away. Well we were finally able to meet and I was pleasantly reminded on why this place has been on my list for years. This location is new (opened in Feb 2024) and the food was on par to my expectations. Started off with their famous Uchi salad - baby greens that had a remarkable cashew pesto dressing and the crunch from crispy wild rice. Unusual but in a good way. Another popular dish is their hama chili yellowtail with ponzu and Thai chili. It's good, but I still like Sushi Roku's hamachi w diced chili better, to be honest. Also ordered up the walu walu cooked fish dish which is a oak grilled escolar in ponzu topped off with candied citrus. Very well balanced and mild in taste. Zero sen is under their "maki-sushi" section and it did not disappoint as a cut roll. The star of the show were the wagyu on hot stone (I forgot to take a pic) and their dessert called "jasmine cream" - which was a highly unusual cilantro granita pineapple, with a honey crumble. I love the creativity and the texture this dessert had. Coupled with the great service the gentleman I had as a server, I had a great experience here at Uchi Scottsdale and highly recommend this place if you're into high end creative Japanese inspired cuisine.

Food here is exceptional. My favorites include the Sake Tom Cha, A5 Wagyu w/Caviar, the Fluke wing and their Hybrid caviar is really tasty. The happy hour omakase is a steal. The counters are open seating starting at 4PM. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and make you feel at home. Austin, Desirae and Lucas are great. Can't wait to eventually try the whole menu. Highly recommend!

This place was phenomenal! Recently opened in Old Town Scottsdale, the reservations open 30 days in advance. I've had a tough time getting a table on a weekend so we resorted to getting a reservation on a Tuesday night and I'm so glad we did! The cocktails were pretty good, the fan favorites of the night was the Nikko Martini (if you like earthy martinis) and the mezcal negroni. The uchi salad is not what you'd think - beautifully wrapped greens with a central radish, topped with a crunchy finish and a delicious sauce, we were all pleasantly surprised at how much we liked it. We also ordered the hama chili, walu walu, hot rock and pork belly and everything was spot on. The spicy crunchy tuna roll and soft shell crab rolls were very good, but HIGHLY recommend the zero sen - that sauce was amazing. The bluefin tuna and amberjack were incredible. We didn't do the omakase menu this time around, but after our first experience here, we are definitely planning on doing it next time. Beautiful interior and well worth the wait for the reservation. We can't wait to be back!

I visited Uchi earlier this month and had a wonderful experience. The restaurant is beautifully designed and the service was great even with how busy they were. Caroline was our server, and she was very helpful. She provided information about the restaurant, the menu, as well as our options - al a carte or omakase. My friend and I ordered the omakase for two, and it was absolutely delicious and beautiful. I will definitely be back!

More like 3.5. New to the scene in old town Scottsdale. The place was packed. We did have to wait for about 15-20 minutes after our reservation to be seated. We went for omakase at the sushi counter. The sushi counter is smallish and really it was not interactive as you would expect with the omakase seating. There was no interaction with the chefs. I would sit of a table next time around. In terms of food, the fish was fresh. The flavors were good for the nigiri and sashimi courses. Loved the uni. However the non-fish courses were a bit weak. We also didn't enjoy the mussels as much. Next time back I would order my own courses. But a worthy addition to the scene.

Uchi is an amazing experience from the moment you walk in. The door, the giant golden wall. Going to be seated felt so nice and cozy there’s so much happening to self guided tours of the extensive menu (for first timer) or the normal pick what you want (for seasoned customers) our server John was great he was very knowledgeable of the whole menu. He was very nice and professional explaining all the food that was placed down in front of me. For it being so busy on a Tuesday night food was amazing with so much flavors. The service was exceptional not to mention they have valet parking too

Uchi is our new favorite spot in Scottsdale! First the service, from the second you walk through the door, each employee is extremely kind, helpful and attentive. Both time we have been in, our server Fran, has been nothing short of extraordinary! With just a few questions about preferences, she has been able to curate the perfect menu to enjoy throughout the evening. A bonus is, Uchi has one of the best Espresso martinis in town! I highly recommend to anyone that wants to try some amazing sushi and Japanese dishes.Parking: Street parking is hard to find during weekend hours, however, there is a valet option right outside of the entrance!

WOW!!! I was not expecting to have the BEST dinner of my life but SO glad to have spent my birthday here last night. I cannot express what an incredible dining experience Uchi was for us. We chose to sit at the sushi bar, which I definitely recommend, you have your own sushi chef, right in front of you that gets to know you & works to personalize your dinner experience. We had Paulo and we absolutely loved him, he was extremely knowledgeable & friendly and taught us so many things and handcrafted each bite of our dinner to be absolutely perfect. You don't need any ginger, soy sauce, or wasabi, they dress each piece perfectly for you. The other chefs at the bar, especially Hannah, were also incredible and so friendly, we can't wait to come back and dine with each of them. We had a waitress in charge of our beverages, who is extremely kind as well. I had the Hachi No Hiza & loved it. Honestly, everyone who worked there was amazing (shoutout to Tira)! Ok now the food, I definitely recommend having your chef pick dishes for you, but here are some of the things that we got. Uchi salad, Hama chili, Gai lan, Madai Nigiri, Kurodai Nigiri (obsessed), Bluefin Chutoro Nigiri, Ham & Eggs (seriously try it), Kinoko Nabe w/ Gyutoro (if you like mushrooms this is to die for) For dessert we had the Fried Milk & Jasmine cream! Everything was so delicious I would recommend it all! If this isn't on your list to go to, please add it!

Amazing! So fresh and the interior is beautiful. Recommend sitting at the sushi bar and the chefs will recommend based on your preferences.

I must leave a review bc it was THE BEST overall dining/culinary experience I've ever had. The fish is flown in from Japan almost daily. Nick was our server and we told him to take us on a journey, best move we've ever made, he did not disappoint. The array of menu samplings was simply fabulous, he knocked it out of the park. We left completely satisfied, not overly full and just WOW. I wish I had the words to describe. Needless to say; we will be back!!
