TLDR: If you absolutely have to have ramen while in Sedona, this is the place for you. Pricier than their East Valley counterparts, small portion sizes, but good flavor.Lunched here about three weeks ago. We're all tonkotsu fiends in our family, so we had those, along with gyoza and tuna carpaccio. For dessert, we had matcha cheesecake and green tea.The location is small, no-frills, a bit dated, but clean. It had a welcoming atmosphere. Think cantina, but make it Japanese. There seemed to be only one server on duty, and even though we came in during post-lunch hours, the place was still busy. Our food took quite a long time to arrive, about 30 minutes. Our server (possibly also the manager) Sakura was polite and helpful.Having lived in Japan for a number of years, I'd say their tonkotsu isn't as robust as what one would get back there. It seems to have been adapted somewhat to the American palate. However, the flavor was still on point, and the noodles had a good chew. The chashu could have been thicker.I'm not sure if this is usually the case, but our bowls were missing the typical ramen accoutrements: nori, fishcakes, menma, and the like. Still, it was a tasty bowl of ramen, if on the pricier and smaller side. It cost 3-4 usd more than ramen in the Phoenix metropolitan area. The tuna carpaccio was delicious, although I felt they could have put more on the plate. Lovely ceramic plates by the way. The matcha cheesecake (not made in-house) while scrimping on size, delivered generously on matcha goodness. If I may suggest, I hope they can increase their portion sizes. Not excessively so, but just enough so the guest doesn't feel that their host is being stingy.

The ramen was delicious. We love the pork broth. Very flavorful and multi-layered. I had vegetables in my pork broth with added pickled ginger. The noodles were perfect. We like their pot stickers as well. Plenty of vegan options too; and rice noodles if you do not want wheat. Delicious! Great kind service and very clean; very relaxing.

I got the shoyu ramen and a California roll. The ramen was delicious, broth was rich and full of umami. The California roll was not the typical roll, it was temaki style, open nori on the outside, folded like a taco around the rice, crab and avocado. It was a little hard to eat because the avocado kept wanting to slide out, but I managed to get it back in, it was tasty. I would definitely visit again when I am back in town.

We got the Tonkotsu and Karaage Fried Chicken and were very satisfied. The highlight was the Orion Beer from Okinawa which is a rare find. Staff was very friendly and efficient. A bit put off by having to pay extra for what should be Ramen standards but understandable.

Best ramen I’ve ever had and I’ve had my fair share. Forget the ambiance and just come here for the food. The depth of flavor is amazing and it’s not salty!! A hard feat to pull off.

A Taste of Tokyo!5 stars out of 5Just had the most amazing ramen at this new spot in VOC Sedona! As someone who knows Ramen , I can confidently say this is one of the most authentic ramen I've found in Arizona. The owner, a lovely woman originally from Tokyo, clearly puts her heart and soul into the broth. It's rich, flavorful, and unlike any ramen chain broth you've ever had. The noodles are perfectly cooked, springy and delicious.I had the Chiken chicken broth Ramen and it was phenomenal. The chicken was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the rice added a perfect freshness as a side dish. Every bite was a flavor explosion! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the owner is so friendly and passionate about her food. You can tell she takes great pride in bringing a taste of her hometown to Sedona. If you're looking for a truly authentic ramen experience, look no further than Yasai Tokyo It's a hidden gem for sure.

Ramen was very tastey. We got 3 different types. I had the gluten free noodles with a miso base. I loved how the veggies were finely chopped which made each bite flavorful. Here is my complaint 70$ (including tax) for 3 bowls of ramen not huge bowls btw. WOW. We are hard working locals so Sedona prices are painful for the working class here... unfortunately the tourist pricing will most likely prevent us from re-visiting. Bummed.

Very good meal. Satisfied with both Ramen, and hand rolls. Very flavorful. Small restaurant with a nice ambiance. In addition, our server was a super nice young man. Very efficient and pleasant considering he was the only one taking orders and serving. It was a very busy evening.

We were skeptical at first but given my daughters didn't want pizza or Mexican food this was a perfect option. We are from San Mateo, California where there are more than 20 legit ramen places and we were pleasantly surprised. The noodle texture was perfectly cooked and they had a nice chewy consistency. The tonkatsu broth was light but flavorful. The photos online showed an egg with it but I think you need to order that separately. We ordered ours for takeout and they had the containers that separated the noodles from the soup. I would rate this 5 stars for ramen in Sedona but my family said we should rate it 4 stars or people won't believe the review. Bottom line if you are craving ramen definitely try this place! We would order again!

It's okay here. The vegetable ramen at the front of the menu was not spicy and was better than I expected.
