“Rocky Rd Ice Cream was a great place to stop for a sweet treat after leaving a restaurant and before heading back to our hotel while visiting Sedona! We loved that they are locally owned and offer small batch ice cream flavors that are unique and tasty! We visited on a Saturday night around 8:30 pm and there was no line. FAST FACTS: * Closed Wednesdays * Locally owned * Small batch ice cream * Vegan, gently infused, and low sugar flavors available * Seasonal flavors available SERVICE - Both workers were pleasant! The one who served the ice cream offered us samples and got our order ready quickly and the one working the cash register was quick and efficient! PRICING - The total was $15.30 after tax and before tip for 2 medium ice cream cups ($6.75 each) which is on par with other specialty ice cream shops. ROCKY RD (8/10) - This is their specialty flavor and was very good! You can good chunks of almond and marshmallow throughout and the chocolate base is delicious! PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE CHIP (8/10) - I didn't get much of the "fudge"... but the peanut butter ice cream was really good and the chocolate chips throughout added a nice texture! RASPBERRY CHIPOTLE (8/10) - The raspberry flavor was fantastic! The chipotle flavor was extremely subtle... I almost wish it was more present than it was. BLUEBERRY MAPLE WAFFLE (8/10) - This was a seasonal flavor and very good! The maple flavor is strong but the waffle pieces add a nice crunch and the blueberry swirl is refreshing! Overall, I'd come back and recommend Rocky RD Ice Cream to others in Sedona! It wasn't the best ice cream I've ever had but it was a great option for some locally owned, small batch ice cream with unique flavor offerings!“
“We did carry out. Quick turn around from order to pick up-right at the promised time. We got the mushroom pizza and added sausage and arugula-it was awesome. Terrific complex flavors and perfect crust and generous toppings. A huge step up from any chain or even other “gourmet” pizza places.“
“This was the perfect place to drop in for respite from the Sedona strip. The alluring scent of freshly baking pies and hot espresso drew us in. I had a slice of apple crumble pie and my wife had her first strawberry rhubarb in a year! Paired with a steaming latte and served with a smile! Prices are great, lower than what I would expect from a handmade bakery! They also make their own ice cream with traditional and some excellent flavors I've never seen (vanilla malt) Yum!“
“This place has a lot of popsicles with fruit but we were drawn in for the cup of corn since we are a fan of street corn. It was creamy and cheesy. We enjoyed this little afternoon snack. Views of snoopy rock from the back balcony made it even better! Great stop!“
“We ordered salads. There wasn’t a service to have to tip. You order and get a beeper and it will let you know when your food is ready. The food was very good!! I got the taco salad bowl with ground beef and it was sooooo yummy!! The view was beautiful ti look at while eating! Would recommend to friends, price was good.“
“We chose this gelato place due to the reviews. The gelato was very good and they were great about samples. However, a large gelato was $13?!?! Looks like it’s marked down from 112 though…lol only a joke.In summary, if you don’t care about money go here, you’ll probably like it. I probably wouldn’t return to based on the price. A placed down the road was nine dollars and is probably decent enough. I’ll go there next…“
“Very good ice cream. Exceptional service and they are just outside of Sedona AZ so less traffic and parking issues. Win, win, win!Parking: Lots of parking!Kid-friendliness: Gave my kids cones in cups exactly as they requested and was patient with their choosing flavors“
“This place is great. The ice cream was really good and not overpriced. One thing I would say is that they are leaving money on the table by closing so early. We stayed near by and would have been there more but they close at 6pm during the week and 8pm on weekends. Should be 8pm during the week and 9pm on weekends.“
“Tried this place on a whim when I was on a spontaneous trip to Sedona with my boyfriend. So glad we stopped in, the decorations are absolutely stunning, I had to snap a pic. The man who helped us was very kind and helpful since it was our first time in. We loved the flavors we chose, you really can't go wrong with gelato, but this was exceptionally tasty!“
“I don't remember the gentleman's name but he had red hair and a nose piercing and he was super helpful so I want to make sure he gets credit for this. It was 8:55 on a Friday night, he was about ready to go home, but we came scrambling in hoping to get dessert since Black Cow Cafe closed an hour early without notice and almost cost us dessert. I know I would've been frustrated if people came in right at close but if this guy was frustrated he didn't show it. He was super colloquial and helped us out and got us some really yummy dessert. Thank you!!!“
“We really enjoyed our meal. The meatballs and sauce were absolutely delicious and we wished we got the 12 pack instead of the six. We tried the margherita since it's a classic and the hot honey to try something new. Both were really good. The hot honey was a taste to remember! We enjoyed it. Everyone got a different flavor of gelato to top off the night. Great place.“
