Food is just okay, the bagel was good. I gave 4 stars because it’s a nice place to sit and eat and the servers were great.

Ordered takeout from this location and everything was amazing. Yes it is a little pricey HOWEVER the quality of every ingredient speaks volumes as to why it is that way. I had the chicken noodle soup, amazing, home made flavor absolutely going to be a good go to next time I'm sick. I also had the perogies which were also delicious.. as a polish woman I definatly would get again. Satusified my polish cravings! And then I had the classic Reuben with pastrami and this sandwich was bursting with flavor.. didn't even need mustard it was that damn good. Side of fruit was mostly melons and pineapple, segmented oranges very nice touch. Finished with a piece of chocolate cake, perfect way to end my meal. Was weary about the location as it is downtown Tempe but honestly had plenty of parking and in a good location not smack down in the center. Great first experience!

I usually get the Monte Cristo and it it wonderful. This time I decided to switch it up and I had the Country Breakfast. The chicken fried steak really good. The gravy is the best. It's thick and fluffy and tasty. One of my biscuits was super rubbery... but I was pretty full at that point so I ignored it. Overall great meal

Chompies is a wonderful place to go and get some comfort food!Every time I've been there there's never been too long of a wait to get a table the service is always been really great and our server this last time really even went above and beyond to make sure everything was fantastic during our dining experience.Came here for breakfast and I had not been to visit during the breakfast hours before and I was very impressed with the breakfast food selection and definitely want to go back and try a few other things on the menu because it sounded really delicious. In the past I've been for lunch and dinner and I must say they've always hit it out of the park with great tasting food and I'm always hungry when I show up full when I leave and I usually have leftovers as well which means I get to enjoy their food twice

Well...ordered online because I was in a hurry, said it wouldn't be ready for 30 mins even though I just ordered a plain bagel with cream cheese. When I got to the store 30 mins later they made me wait for another 15 mins saying it wasn't ready..... THEN when I finally got it, they didn't even put the cream cheese on it! It was just a bagel wrapped and then put in a styrofoam box (which not to mention is such a waste since the bagel was already wrapped in paper and bagged) and a little container of cream cheese. Bagel wasn't bad but wasn't anything to write home about either and the time I had to wait was just absurd, especially since I ordered ahead. **side note: I would understand the wait if the place was busy, but there was a total of 3 tables seated and one other person waiting for their to-go order as well...

We make it a point to visit Chompies on each of our trips to Scottsdale but this visit really missed the mark. My hot brisket sandwich was so rubbery and chewy- like it had been warmed up in the microwave, that it was inedible. Our server never questioned why I was finished with a full sandwich on my plate. So disappointing. I really hope it was a one time thing….

Fantastic food, incredible service. An authentic new York deli experience in Tempe! Try the smoked salmon tapas and pastrami sandwich.

I had the New Jersey sliders and a cup of soup. They were both fantastic. There was a huge group of us about 20 and everyone loved their food. The only complaint was that there was way too much food. We all took food home.

I've eaten here for years and like Chompie's, but can't rate the food now. It used to be good. However, the owners have hired younger managers and they've been closing earlier and earlier. Tonight at 7:28 they were closed and doors locked, even though the 8 pm closing time is printed right there on the door. Chompie's- if you want to close at 7:30 (or earlier) just say it so we can know not to drive there.

I tried it for the first time and ended up going back three more visits! The Reuben sandwich was excellent! Also tried the Philly Cheesesteak, so delicious! The Monte Cristo was also very good! Great food and good prices, family environment and the bakery was a definite visit after dinner

My wife and I went here with a semi large party. The service was immaculate and the food was delicious! Marcus and Tess were so friendly and helped out with any questions.
