We dined in & had excellent food. Our waitress was the best. We are looking forward to coming back. We will be telling our family & friends. Thank you La Fonda.

Great food and always good service, as always! Been enjoying La Fonda since their time in Tempe. They recently started charging for chip and salsa refills, a modest $.99 or $1.99 (I think). Although I understand their need to reduce costs, I believe there are more tactful ways to do so without burdening the guest with additional charges on top of already rising menu prices. It's not about the price but how it's presented to the guest. This took away from my experience and rubbed me the wrong way.

Excellent place to dine for authentic Mexican food. It’s family owned and local. Very tasty food. I had the carne asada plate special. It was very very good! Highly recommend. It wasn’t busy at all when we went. Got a margarita which was standard but the food is great. They do charge you for refills of chips and salsa but we didn’t eat more than 1 and they charge because it’s a family owned business. Excellent food!

Sensational! Can’t beat this place with the incredible food, friendly staff, beautiful ambience, and comfortable seating. Hot chips and fresh salsa as soon as we sat down. My usual is the Sunrise Burrito echildada style green, but decided to try their seasonal taco special served with a seasoned au jus style dip. Exactly what I never knew I needed. Family recipes and family owned since the 1060s. An absolute treasure!

Delicious! This is exactly what I hope for when I travel to Arizona. Friendly, clean, and beautiful with comfortable seating. Family owned since the 1960s and you can taste the love. Freshly made salsa with fresh hot chips right away. Had the seasonal special which were tacos served with a flavorful au jus type sauce. Heaven! Highly recommend!

Food was good. Service was less then adequate ,especially when they only had 2 or 3 tables. No refills on drinks. Asked waitress for hot sauce never got it. She didn't greet us our give her name. She never checked on us. Not enjoyable for a $35 dollar lunch for 2. Not wonder no ccustomers.

1.) service - greeted almost immediately, seated quickly and attended all in good time and customer service was amazing and friendly very comfortable 2.) ambient is very easy going quiet soft music in background wish it was more Mexican traditional but they have a mix of music sometimes too elevator music like lol overall tho cozy and great 3.)FOOD - I GOT YHE CHILE FUNDIDO BURRITO IT WAS THE BEST , super flavorful and rich with the sour cream and cheese topping , rice and beans stand at a 2-3 out of 5 could be better but the main entre saved the day my lady got chilaquiles from the online menu and they were also a great hit ! Overall 5/5

FLAVORLESS “MEXICAN” FOOD. If you’re wanting to eat some real authentic Mexican food that was made using seasonings spices and sauces, then find another place! They don’t even serve horchata so I had to settle for lemonade (that tasted like water). I ordered a shredded beef quesadilla and the only thing with some kind of flavor was the cheese. Nothing but that and some unseasoned beef inside a tortilla. I went with family who all ordered different meals and we all had the same thoughts so we ended up going to Mcdonalds afterwards for something we could actually eat because they at least use salt. Down to the appetizer salsa too - it was like canned tomato water. Even mild Pace Salsa tastes a whole lot better than that.
