This is my long-time hangout. I was a frequent visitor at this bar when I was an ASU student. In fact, I came here opening weekend back in 2000. The building itself has so much history. Back in 1888, it was a saddlery and harness shop. It has been home to many businesses for over a century and survived two fires until Rúla Búla became its home for two decades. Still a fun place. Menu is a bit smaller than last year but the Guinness is still flowing. I think they said May 23 is the last day. Out by June 1. Week nights are busy and weekends are crazy. No mask is just like the before time. Get there quick before it is gone forever.
Well, I went to the last day Rula Bula was open on Sunday. This place was a classic. For a long time it was one of the closest bars to Tempe Town Lake when festival events held at the lake ended, we would head over to Rula Bula for a beer as a group.
