The place is now known as Taiwan Mama, took us a while to find it different name. First time, the menu is alright, I ordered a peach green tea and they didnt let me know there was a sugar % choice, which I love when boba places have that option. But the worker gave me 100% full way too sweet, I will go again and give another chance.

The name of this business has changed. I think probably the owner is changed also. We ordered a house milk tea (no sugar, no ice) and a strawberry milk tea (hot) around 5pm. The house milk tea tastes watery, the strawberry milk tea is fine. I can't taste any tea flavor though.BUT I don't know what they put into those drinks, the caffeine content is so HIGH. High like five cups of black coffee! How could a milk tea be watery & less tea flavor, while having so much caffeine in it??? Be careful, it's dangerous to consume so much caffeine in a short period of time. Both of us felt sick afterwards. We are college students so we are kind of caffeine addicts but these milk drinks are LOADED. Just be careful and think twice about buying any drinks here. The tables are dirty and the room smells weird by the way. It's not the same old tea swirl anymore.

Nice place but over all wasn't too impressed with my Thai tea though it was watered down tasting with barely any ice and not like a traditional milk tea that I'm used to .. not sure if it was made incorrectly or if their recipe is just different but it wasn't my favorite unfortunately.

Would you like some tea with your sugar water? Too sweet. No real fruit. Won’t let you use the bathroom. But the limey lemonade was good. And the black tea was good once I diluted it and added frozen

This place was really good: we got the Okinawa, it doesn't taste like a traditional brown sugar boba but it was still delicious. Tasted like Cap'n Crunch cereal milk. Store was clean and everyone was friendly!

really wish i could give this place 5 stars... the staff is always friendly and the tea is a fair portion for the price & is always delicious. only downside is that the owner takes 100% of the tips made on credit cards (which i'm almost certain is illegal in az, but what do i know - there is probably some tip credit loophole they are using to steal from their laborers). i would suggest tipping cash if you can, although i don't know how much of the cash tips are garnished either. overall love this place but don't love exploitative business practices.

I didn’t think the milk tea was anything special or the boba. I would’ve been just as happy or happier making my own at home. Only tried it once over 4 years ago so maybe I need to try again for a fair assessment

Tea Swirl is conveniently located near ASU campus, in a small shopping center. I didn't have any trouble finding parking in the parking lot. There is seating both inside and outside the business.I ordered the wintermelon lemonade with coconut jelly. It was a little confusing because their sugar level system is different from other boba places. At Tea Swirl the "standard" sugar level is 20%. So if you ask for 50% sugar you are actually asking them to increase the normal amount of sugar. I opted for the standard 20% sugar and I'm glad I did because it was sweet enough. The coconut jelly was really interesting because it was in the shape of a short noodle rather than in cubes or rectangles, like I have had before at other places. I have to say I would have preferred a different shape for the coconut jelly. In the small noodle shape you couldn't really taste it at all because there wasn't enough surface area touching your tongue. Next time, I would add boba instead.
